I'm new to aromatherapy and it was nice having this book to help me with mixing oils. I will say I was a bit upset that the author didn't say why certain oils went together or why that formula would help with a certain ailment. Luckily i have another book that says all that, so as long as this isn't your ONLY aromatherapy book, it is a nice edition to a collection
