Botanical Name: Angelica archangelica Plant Part: Root Extraction Method: Steam Distillation Origin: France Description: A large hairy, biennial plant with ferny leaves and umbels of white flowers it can grow 5 to 8 feet tall. Flowering time is June to August Color: Pale Yellow To Orange Brown Liquid Common Uses: Useful for dull and congested skin, accumulation of toxins in joints, arthritis, gout, water retention, Bronchitis, coughs, fatigue, migraine, nervous tension and stress related disorders. Consistency: Medium Note: Middle Strength of Aroma: Strong Blends well with: Cedarwood; Guaiacwood; Olibanum; Sandalwood Aromatic Scent: peppery, rich, herbal, earthy, woody and musk animal odor. History: Angelica Archangelica, a tall plant that is cultivated in Belgium, Holland, France, Germany, Hungary and India. This plant is often used to flavor many alcoholic drinks and its candied stem has long been used in confectionery. Cautions: Generally non-toxic, the essential isphototoxic and therefore to be avoided in sunlight. Avoid during pregnancy.

A heartening, warm and grounding oil, yet an otherworldly and still earthy spice to this useful and very potent essential oil. The very best Angelica I have used, will surely buy again.
