Midnight Black Clay contains great iron and oxygen properties, making it very popular for use in creams, powders, lipsticks, and mascara’s. It is a non-toxic mineral with cleansing and conditioning agents and particularly good for nourishing the skin.
Caution: Caution should be exercised as clays may stain fabric.

This clay worked very well for making swirl soap. I only used 1/2 Tbsp in my 4 lb batch and think I could of cut that in half. We'll see when we take a shower in 4 weeks:-)

Swirling is divine in cp soap with this and all of NDA's clays (I've tried 4 so far). It blends incredibly well in cp soap and really sticks. I also find it helps low sud soap bases to lather more,perhaps due to the very fine particles of the clay providing a bit of friction. When used in non-wet applications I find it's harder to get a true black w/out resulting in some kind of staining..so a dark black mask isn't possible w/out leaving your customer with a stained face. I tried this and the red reef as a hair tint but haven't quite gotten the ratio down or figured out a good way to make it fix to hair temporarily w/out leaving a mess on one's pillowcase at night, but this might just be an issue with using clay in this capacity in general and should in no way reflect on the amazing properties of the product itself. In all it's seriously fun to play with!

This clay is awesome! i got it today however i have already experienced enough to tell that it will work wonders for my skin! Im just beggining to discover the excitements of making your own facial mask, hair conditioners, and more, and I am very very happy and giddy about the possibilities. 1) Awesome face mask! Egg white, drop of peppermint E.O. and oatmeal powder - viola! Love love love this product for facials! 2) The perfect eyeliner! Once again - love love love this once more! I use this for my mineral eyeliner line. It's so incredibly easy to work with, dries to a powder finish, there's no oils so you don't have to worry about that black line that magically appears across your upper eyelid and easy to blend for the shmexy wing tips that are so popular now. It doesn't irritate the eyes either if you should accidently stick your brush in there either - not that I would know, mind you *wink* I highly recommend this product!

I've been looking for a natural way to make black soap and this just does the trick! You don't need much! It is really strong in colour so if you don't want black lather don't add to much to your batch!

When colouring a product, be sure to use as little as a smidge and work up in quantity until the desired colour is reached. These Australian clays are very dark, and do stain! Even bathtubs!!!
