Avocado Butter is hydrogenated avocado fruit oil that yields a soft, ivory to light greenish, creamy and soft butter that has excellent penetrating properties.

Common Uses: Avocado Butter has natural sunscreen properties along with Vitamins A, B, G and E which makes it a wonderful moisturizing treatment for dry and damaged skin. It exhibits good spread-ability on the skin, making it ideal as a massage butter or body balm, and it can be added to soap, creams, lotions, lip balms, body butters, hair pomades, bath bombs and more.

Recommended Usage:
• Lotions & Creams: 5 - 20 %
• Balms: 5 – 100 %
• Bar Soaps: 5 - 20 %
• Hair Conditioners: 2 – 5 %

When adding butters to creams and lotions, it might be necessary to gently warm them until the texture can be incorporated into the final product. Using a hand blender, create a vortex with your cream or lotion and drizzle your melted butter to fully incorporate. For addition in soaps, the general rule of thumb is 1 tablespoon per pound. As with most raw materials, results may vary, so we strongly recommend small, lab scale batches prior to any commercial manufacturing.

Shelf Life: This butter should be stored in a cool dark place and has a shelf-life of approximately 1 - 2 years when stored properly.

This does have a grainy texture, but I've been told that means it is less refined and, therefore, better quality. It melts into your skin right out of the container and the little clumps melts very quickly with your body heat. It seems completely scent free to me which I like.

Very nice! I was looking forward in finding out how it would feel straight out of the jar. I like the fact that it is solid at room temperature that easily comes out of the jar BUT the only thing is --- I wish it didn`t have such a grainy feel to it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get more stock of Avacodo Butter....I love this product...recently I decided (stupidly) to wax my own bikini area (ya ouch)...long story short won't do it again but afterwards grabbed the remanants of my avacado butter and rubbed it on to my burning (bleeding) skin..instantly the burning pain was gone and the wax residue disappeared...not only that but my skin felt absolutely amazing afterwards....HAHA found new use for product the hard way :) I have to get more ASAP...might even brave the waxing again knowing I will have those end results....LOVE you ALL at NEW DIRECTIONS!!!! I just made my first batch of avocado butter lotion from scratch and love its ability to melt into the skin, similar to coconut oil, but not greasy. A bit grainy, but I may have to adjust my temperatures in the processing.

avocado butter is a must have butter because of it spreads smooth and absorved fast by the skin leaving it soft and hydrated, plus all the vitamins that has is a really wonderful butter. i also use it on my face when the winter comes and in the summer for a nice glow that's not greasy. Does wonder for the hair. higly recommended melted with mango butter a little shea, grape seed oil and rose geranium essential oil for a beautiful balm / butter. ENJOY!
