Botanical Name: Persea americana

Extraction Method: Cold Pressed

Description: Avocado Carrier Oil contains Vitamins A, B1, B2, D, E, and Beta carotene. It is classified as a monosaturated oil and is best suited for dry skin conditions in topical applications.

Color: Pale yellow to golden yellow liquid.

Aromatic Description: Avocado Carrier Oil has very little scent characteristic of most carrier oils.

Common Uses: Small amounts of Avocado Oil is typically added to other carrier oils in order to enrich protein and vitamin content. It is used predominantly by manufacturers (particularly great in soaps, lotions and creams) and massage therapists.

Consistency: Typical and Characteristic of Carrier Oils.

Absorption: Avocado Carrier Oil will leave a sticky, waxy feel if applied topically to large areas of skin.

Shelf Life: Avocado Carrier Oil is slow to go rancid; users can expect a shelf life of 6 Months to 1 Year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

I used this to make a cream and it's very nice, moisturizing but doesn't smell so I didn't have to add more than a few drops (per 4 oz) to my cream to add scent.

Can't have luxury soap without avocado oil. This is another must-have in my soap ingredient list. Depending on your recipe, the 4L size will go a long way. this gallon size is easy to pour and mess-free.

Wow, this stuff is amazing! It's a great addition to my bath bombs! Last night I was feeling lazy so I just added a little bit of avocado oil, peppermint EO and kaolin clay to the running water while filling the tub... My whole body AND hair have never been softer! It didn't leave a greasy residue on my hair or body. I love it!

Rich, glides on smoothly with a slick feeling. Absorbs quickly with no residue. I didn't get any waxiness mentioned in the "Absorption" paragraph. but do sense a healthy smooth finish. To me waxy suggests a clogging of pores which I don't perceive with this oil. Definitely a 5 star product. My next batch of pain relief rub will include this.

Advocado oil is very addicting in a good way. It blends well with other carrior oils I used and didn't leave any residue. I love eating the fruit so, using the oil in my products was a sound decision for me to make. I rank Advocado oil with that of olive oil and it is quoted that advocado has, "more fatty alcohols than any other fruit known to man." in Julie Gabriel's book titled "Green Beauty Guide". Even if you don't like eating the fruit, try it!

I love avocado oil for my hair oil blends. In massage blends it is lovely as well... just watch your sheets as I have found it stains(which is why it usually isn't in my massage blends.) For deep nourishing face oils, especially following french clay or dead sea mineral muds, this is a lovely addition. Thanks again ND for such amazing products!

I really like this oil. I mix it with some sweet almond oil and use it to dilute essential oils for my bath. I also use this mix for moisturizing my skin. I love that it is packed with so many vitamins and my skin feels so good when I use it. Plus, I think the price is great.
