Description: Our Beeswax noodles are processed from the highest grade lemon colored crude beeswax. The color is removed and the wax is then micro filtered before being passed through a palletizing machine. These beeswax noodles are 100% natural and are refined through physical processes – nothing chemical. They are insoluble in water, but soluble in volatile and fixed oils.
Appearance: Creamy yellow noodles with faint characteristic odor.
Uses: Beeswax noodles can be used in the manufacturing process for products where color and scent need to be controlled. These noodles act as a humectant, emollient and emulsifying agent, and can be used in formulations for lotions, creams, balms and body butters. Beeswax lends rigidity to cosmetics and soap and is an optimal choice for aromatherapy grade and natural candles.
Warning: When melting beeswax, always use a water bath by placing the container of wax - probably a small saucepan - inside a larger pan of water. Never place a pan of wax directly on a hot plate or gas ring. Beeswax can easily become damaged by localized overheating and if it ignites, can burn more ferociously than any chip pan fire. Beeswax does not boil - it just gets hotter and hotter until it ignites.
