Paraben Free
Feed your skin with our thick, rich, moisturizing body butter. It penetrates deep to rejuvenate and nourish the skin without feeling overly greasy.
This base has been specifically formulated to be extremely robust. Essential Oils, fragrant oils, botanical extracts and various raw materials can be added in order to customize each product.
Usage: We recommend that no more than 1% or 10 ml of any essential oil be added to a Liter our cosmetic bases. Exceeding this amount may destabilize bonds between the ingredients. Over time this may cause our bases to lose some of their luxurious properties including viscosity, smooth feel and rate of absorption.
Drum Orders:
• Price is FOB from our warehouse. UPS does not ship drums so shipping charges will be calculated in house with another courier or customers can request their preferred courier.
• Price includes bulk open head drum with plastic liner.
• A lead time of 3 weeks is needed in order to fill a drum order.
• A non-refundable 50% deposit is required.
• Special orders for drums cannot be returned. We encourage our customers to try the smaller sizes before placing a special order for a drum. Our return policy is applicable to regular orders only.

Having been disappointed by the texture of the Lavender Blend Butter I had purchased here prior to this, I was a little hesitant to buy others. It is another customer's mention of Body Shop in her review that convinced me to buy this and I am glad: I just used it as is for the first time, and my very irritated hands stopped hurting immediately. (Something that my favorite Body Shop Hemp Butter never managed to do without burning like a mother first.) As it is, the texture is only minimally sticky. MUCH better than any of the commercial body butters I've tried besides Body Shop, AND it even has a neutral taste (yes, these are the lengths I'll go to for a review: you may not want to eat it, but at least if you kiss someone after they just applied it, there will be no bitter faces). I have not yet tried to mix it with my favorite EOs, but I have a feeling I will make very small batches at first in order to keep as much of it as is if my favorite conditioner mix does not work quite as well as a body butter. LOVE! :)

I was hesitant at first to purchase this base, as I also focused on some of the negative reviews. I did not notice any strong chemical smell--just smelled fresh to me. I prepared a sample batch to take to work for the girls to try. I added a small amount of avocado oil, color, and strawberry fo and whipped it for a few minutes. So light and luscious and very moisturizing but not greasy. I ended up with 4 orders immediately, with more orders pending. This is great stuff. I am back ordering more..

This body butter is extremly moisturizing! My customers cannot get enough! I do find it hard to scent it with some of the FO's however some work better than others at scenting it. I would suggest EO's rather than FO's. All in all my customers seem to really love it and I can't keep it in stock. Thanks NDA

I have been a customer of NDA since 2006 and have been using the body butter all along and have never been disappointed. Have you changed the formula recently NDA? I feel that this batch is different in a better way. It is Superb! I add some glycerin, fruit or vegetable extracts, essential oils, and end up with a miraculous cream for dry skin. The product flies off the shelf. Thanks again NDA note: this product does't contain paraben, which has been linked to breast cancer in studies performed in the U.K. Paraben is a preservative found in MANY beauty products.

My order came yesterday and I made up 6 different scented body butters and put them in the jars I also purchased from New Direction. My customers were absolutely ecstatic. I have to say WOW!! When it comes to this Body Butter. I had ordered your body butter for my company's new line body products. I decided to use the body butter first before I offered it to my customers. I added some of your Essential Oils and my daughter and I tried it. I have to say from the moment we put it on we feel in love with the product. I don't usually write reviews; but i must now. I had purchased this product a couple of months ago in the summer. Not wanting to be too "oily" for the summer, I put it down and waited untill Sept. That's when my skin gets very dry and flaky. Boy o' boy, what a wonderful product you have here. I put some in that cut lil verve gold jar you sell. I added some eo, can't remember which, but the effect of the cream really had me going. It relieved my itchiness one night and then I was really hooked! I made a jar for my daughter, which she keeps at her desk at work. Now that the days are getting a little cooler for sure, I'm going to package some jars for some nurses who are interested in my products, which I was only making as a hobby. I use this straight out of the jar and have no problem with the aroma. I see why you have so many positive reviews on this item. Thanks for the time and effort you put into your products.

This is an amazing quality body butter, it's about as thick as vaseline but not greasy!!! I had to cut down on things that I wanted to add to it because it's texture, level of absorption and moisturizing was better than any body butter i've ever used before including the one from the body shop which was my favourite. I tried a bit with mango extract, but I think a little f/o or e/o and maybe a little colour ( it's pure white) is all that should be added if anything. Takes very nicely to Sweet orange e/o and butter cream icing f/o

I was a little nervous trying this body butter because I spent so much time dwelling on a couple of the negative comments mentioned earlier. But I tried it and I LOVE it!!! I love how my skin feels. I can't remember the last time my skin ever felt this wonderful! I don't find this greasy at all. As far as smell, yes it has a faint smell when I first opened it but its not a bad smell at all! Absolutely love this body butter base! It's thick and creamy, doesn't dry sticky. Absorbs well but also provides a bit of a barrier like a body butter should. Blends well with EOs.. it's great!

I absolutely adore this product! Yes, it is very thick! However, this makes perfect for blending with floral waters, rose being my favorite to make a wonderful, lightly scented blend. I have psoriasis, and within a few days, my itchy, scaly skin was much softer and beginning to heal. I never realized how soft my skin could be. I highly recommend this product!

This body butter is amazing. I love mixing some peppermint, bergamot, grapefruit and lemongrass e.o.'s into it. It is so refreshing and it really works. I have always suffered from dry skin in the winter until this year. I've been telling everybody about it.

Feels great on the skin. The scent isn't the greatest, but that's why it's a "base." Just an amazing texture/feel to this body butter.

Deeeelicious. I was expecting a thick-ish lotion base but this is more like cake frosting! Its incredibly thick but very easily absorbed. I gave some samples to my coworkers to get their feedback: We call it the Mr. Burns effect because we are all walking around the office slowly rubbing our hands together because we can't believe how soft they feel! It's cold in NY! but my skin is sofffffffffft. *yum*

Very oily/greasy feeling...might be from the petrolatum in it. Takes a WHILE to absorb into the skin. Slight chemical odor (not very pleasant).

I really like this product, but I must say that I am quite disappointed, as some of the other comments below have stated, this product does have a chemical odor. I also noticed that after weeks have passed, the odor is persistant and the only way to cover the scent is to use an entire bottle of Fragrant or EO's. I love the consistancy of this products, however I think it needs to be modified and created with Organic or a different kind of preservatives to avoid this chemical scent.

After reading all the reviews we thought we would give it another try. We added just a little more fragrance and it did the trick. That chemical smell was masked. With the those cold dry winter days ahead, my customers will sure love this butter.

We have tried several products and this is one of the better ones. However, we decided not to go with it because we can't seem to get past the chemical smell that comes with it. You can cover it all you want but that smell is still there.

I have tried a lot of pre-made bases and this is by far the best! I don't go a day without slathering it on to survive the dry winter here. I wanted to make sure I liked it personally before offering it to my customers. No worries, this is a superior product I am proud to share with everyone :-)

The thickness is nice, very butter-like. However, I can't put a word to the slight smell that it has. Almost chocolately, almost chemically...I put it on my fiance and he described it as aspirin/chocolate. But the smell is very slight and can be covered with FO or EOs.

We have formulated this Body Butter Base using as many natural ingredients as possible. Because many of these are natural butters, there will be occasional clumping. A smoother product may be possible with more commercial ingredients, but we believe the positives from using natural ingredients outweigh the alternatives.
