Buriti Carrier Oil

Botanical Name: Mauritia Flexuosa
Extraction Method: Cold Pressed
Description: Buriti is a palm tree found throughout the Amazon basin and central Brazil. This thick log palm tree that can reach up to 30m of height (90 feet) produces a brown, easy to peel scaled fruit. The word "buriti" in Brazil means "tree of life."
Color: Intense Red to Brown
Common Uses: Unrefined Buriti oil is extremely rich in vitamin E (tocopherols) and has one the richest natural source of pro-vitamin A available (carotenoids). The oil restores moisture lacking in sun-exposed skin and because of its color it possesses a naturally occurring SPF factor. The rich unsaturated fatty acids in Buriti oil help rebuild, moisturize and re-hydrate skin cells. It is commonly used to manufacture high-end skin care creams and applied directly to cuts and burns, because of its soothing qualities and its ability to promote the formation of scar tissue.
Aromatic Description: Strong oily scent.
Absorption: Leaves an oily feeling on the skin. May stain sheets and skin if used in massage therapy.
Shelf life: Users can expect a shelf life of 6 months to 1 year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

I'm going to use this in all my skin care products...I mixed this with serveral of the new plant based peptides, pumpkin seed oil, and Rose hydrosol. Someone thought I was 35 today...I'm actually almost 55. I shared lots of it with my friends, and I honestly think they look much better, ant the best part is they think so too. It beats carrot seed oil hands down.

I like the natural look and am using Burti on my cheeks, forehead and nose as a natural sun-look and it works well on my neck to match my darker face.

Buriti is amazing! I made a facial oil blend using 10% Buriti and in just 6 weeks my rosacea was almost gone. It''s super thick, bright orange in colour, when mixed with other oils gives you a nice tan-like glow. Buriti is a must have.
