Botanical Name: Myocarpus fastigiatus Plant Part: Wood Extraction Method: Steam Distillation Origin: Paraguay Description: A tall tropical tree, 12-15 m high, with a very hard wood, extremely resistant to moisture and mould growth. Color: Pale yellow Common Uses: In skin care, it is used to treat cuts, scars, and wounds. It is also used to treat chills, coughs, and colds. Antiseptic, balsamic, cicatrizant. Consistency: Medium Note: Base Strength of Aroma: Medium Blends well with: Rose, cassia, mimosa, cedarwood, and other woody and oriental bases. Aromatic Scent: Cabreuva has a sweet, woody, very delicate and slightly floral aroma. History: Native to Brazil, Paraguay, Chile and north Argentina, the oil has been used since ancient times by natives to heal wounds, ulcers, and to obviate scars. Cautions: Non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitizing.

This is OIL really does heal scars.....I had a nasty burn on my hand from the shelf inside the stove....I immediately ran for the lavender which took the pain away. and healed it, but the scar was really bright red and looked like it would be permanent ... I did some research and started using Cabreuva Oil a few times a day.......(when I remembered).
Well that was on Halloween... Today you can never tell I was burned at all....I highly recommend having a bottle of this quality oil around.

I recently had surgery and had a nasty surgical incision that just wouldn't heal. I added this oil to NDA's natural Shea Butter and saw significant improvement within 3 days. Highly recommended.
