Calendula Herbal Oil - Organic

Certified Organics: All of our Certified Organic Herbal Oils are carefully selected to ensure that they are of the best quality. Our Calendula oil is an infusion of Certified Organic Calendula and Virgin Olive Oil. The Virgin Olive Oil comes from trees grown in a National Park on the East Coast of Italy. There are absolutely no chemicals or preservatives used, and at a minimum, our product qualifies as being Wild Crafted.

Common Uses: Also called “pot marigold”, organic Calendula Herbal Oil has long been recognized for use homoeopathic preparations in order to restore health. It is said to have antioxidant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and regenerating properties, and has been proven to aid in wound healing. Combined with olive oil, it becomes an excellent salve even for serious burns, bruises, cuts and diaper rash. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, organic Calendula Oil can be used to ease the inflammation of the lesions and slow the spread of the eczema and psoriasis.
Organic Calendula oil is widely used in formulations to manufacture creams, ointments, tinctures, cosmetics, shampoo and baby wipes. Organic calendula has soothing and skin softening properties, and is considered a good choice when preparing a massage oil blend with other carrier and essential oils.
Usage Amounts:
Creams and Ointments: Max 15%
Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of 9 Months to 1 Year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.
Cautions: Calendula should also not be taken internally without direct medical supervision. Discontinue use and consult with your doctor if your skin condition worsens.

Great to have an organic option, and one not made with soy oil, but rather virgin olive oil!

So far, I am very impressed with this calendula oil. I'm diluting it a little and applying it my face to heal acne and pigmentation. It seems to bring down my inflamed acne, and is evening out my skin tone. Also, I believe that the natural salicylic acid content is gently exfoliating my skin. Since it's infused in olive oil, it's not drying out my skin (it stays very soft), and it also doesn't create that heavy clogged up feeling. I washed my face after a long day today, and I noticed my skin was smoother and my pores MUCH less noticeable. It's only been 3 days, so I'm excited to see what happens in a week!

This is a rich, beautiful oil. I've been using this as a diaper rash oil and all I have to say is WOW!
