I wish I had listened to the other reviewer. I was so anxious to receive this and so disappointed. This was going to be a star player for me. I was expecting the floral/spicy scent of the dianthus, but it was unrecognizable to me (although it's a pleasant scent).
I will experiment with the addition of clove bud, cinnamon leaf eo, to bring out the spiciness.

The scent was not at all what I expected. It's not a floral scent at all, but rather bitter and burned-smelling. If you want the carnation flower scent, this isn't it.
