Botanical Name: Daucus carota

Extraction Method: Cold Pressed

Description: Carrot Carrier Oil is very high in both vitamins and minerals. This oil is an infusion of wild macerated carrot in canola oil with vitamin E.

Color: Orange to red oily liquid.

Aromatic Description: Carrot Carrier Oil has a very slight scent that is sweet and very carrot - like.

Common Uses: Carrot Macerated Oil is considered to be one of the best oils to rejuvenate and regenerate skin tissues. It helps to remove toxic build-up in the skin, improving the skin's complexion. It can be used to soothe burns, blisters and scars; and is considered suitable for all skin types, especially dry and mature aging skin. Carrot Carrier Oil can be added to anti-aging creams, lotions and body butters.

Consistency: Typical and Characteristic of Carrier Oils.

Absorption: Carrot Carrier Oil will leave a slight oily feeling on the skin.

Shelf Life: This oil extremely stable against rancidity and users can expect a shelf life of 1 year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

I made my own "infused carrot oil". I used 2# of carrots and rendered over a quart of oil. I think it would be unethical to print the recipe here, but I found it on the internet under how to use carrot oil. Now I am going to make some lotion bars with it as I am out of carrier oils.

I received this oil as a gift and it is absolutely wonderful. Heaven in a bottle. However, I must give it a 4-star rating simply on the price. I know production costs are high, but this just simply is not an oil I will be able to purchase/use regularly due to cost I hate to say.
