Botanical Name: Anthemis nobilis L

Plant Part: Flowers

Extraction Method: Steam Distilled

Description: This is the low growing perennial that rarely exceeds 30cm. The plant is extensively grown in central and Eastern Europe. Leaves are lacy and finely divided on stems capped with small, white daisy-like flowers.

Color: Light bluish to yellow liquid.

Common Uses: Chamomile Roman Essential Oil has a long tradition in herbal medicine. The flowers were used in many cures including an herbal tea to cure insomnia. During the Second World War chamomile was also used as a disinfectant. The essential oil is useful in the treatment of aches and pains in muscles and joints. Treatment of symptoms of PMS with Chamomile is also beneficial especially when the symptoms are related to stress.

Blends well with: Bergamot, Clary Sage, Lavender, Geranium, Jasmine, Neroli, Patchouli, Tea Tree, Rose, Lemon and Ylang-ylang.

Aromatic Scent: The relaxing aroma of this essential oil, sometimes described as like 'apples and straw' is an exotic and rich scent. It is commonly accepted as the best smelling of the Chamomiles.

History: This herb has been used for medicinal purposes and skin therapy for a long time, in particular in Europe.

Cautions: No known toxicity. Use well diluted. High doses may trigger skin reactions in sensitive individuals.

An absolute dream in a bottle, literally! I use this almost every night with a bit of lavender to help me sleep. My dreams are always wonderful and my nights are restful. The aroma is strong without being nauseating. Like the other reviewers, I also can not tell the difference in terms of strength between the 3% and pure Roman Chamomile. It works just as well in my relaxation lotions and oils, and my clients are enjoying the price reduction. If you are trying Roman Chamomile for the first time, or love the smell but not the price, this is the way to go without breaking your pocketbook... And, as I have, you may never return to pure again. Great job ND!

This is truly a very fragrant aroma. The fact it's a 3% dilution and smells almost exactly like the pure essential oil (really can't tell the difference) is a real testimony to your company. Thanks for helping the newbies like me. I intend to order a larger size next time so that I can overindulge!
