People need to realize that this is NOT a true Chamomile and has different uses then the others. This one is the most stress reliving of the plants that are called “chamomile”, it is no were as analgesic or anti-inflammatory as German Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla), and it is not as sedative as the Roman Chamomile (Anthemis nobilis). BUT for working with people that are over stressed there is none better!!!

I haven't tried any of the other chamomiles on this site, but I've smelled some from other producers, and this one is by far my favorite, which is great, because it's also particularly inexpensive. I find it much sweeter than what I've smelled elsewhere. I tend to use chamomile very frequently in my shampoo and conditioner, and it seems to help make my hair super soft. I also use it sometimes for skin products, and it works well for that use also. Overall one of my absolute favorites. It comes out of the bottle quickly and is particularly strong, so if you don't want to use too much, I recommend diluting it first.

I love this chamomile! Very strong, so a little goes a long way. For the price difference, there's no point in getting the more expensive varieties. Sweet, like wet hay and apples. Just like the description. Not AS floral-sweet as some I have smelled, but this is a lot like real, actual chamomile.

I tried this chamomile after using a Roman Chamomile absolute (not yours) which was I'm sure therapeutic, but just a little too medicinal smelling for me. I used this South African Chamomile in an assortment of baby care items, and I love it, love it, love it! It has that perfect chamomile scent, with a perfect amount of sweetness. Thank you so much!

NDA's South African chamomile essential oil is a lovely eo, great quality, and a super aromatic alternative to roman chamomile. I found it to have the same wonderful light sweet-hay/honeyed-apple notes of roman chamomile and it's more budget-friendly, win-win! Aromatically this eo is a bit more robust than any of the roman chamomiles that I've experienced -- just a touch is all you need in a blend for the diffuser. Highly recommend this one if cost has prevented you from trying roman chamomile in the past.

I purchased this one because it was the least in price. I'm very pleased. And it is quite powerful. One or two drops seems to be all that is needed in my recipes. My next venture is to try the other types of Chamomileso as to have a variety of scents in my products. It's good that you offer a variety. Thanks.

I wrote a review last week, I just want to correct myself! That night I sent an email to NDA about the color, the very next morning I got an answer, they explained to me I have the correct oil and label. You can't beat that for customer service. Their customer service is probably the best I've ever dealt with, thank you Ramandeep Sran. This is for anyone new thinking about dealing with this company, you can definitly count on the quality and service, don't even hesitate! This is one of my top 5 oils, try it you'll see what I'm talking about! Thanks

I just got this a couple of days ago, great aroma it kind of reminds me of under an apple tree toward the end of the season when the apples on the ground starting to rot, that same sweet smell, brings back memories of picking apples when I was a kid. I do have a question, this discription says pale to light blue, my oil is clear. I wonder if this is roman chamomile. I'm new with this company, my first order I had a miss labeled bottle, geranium in eucalyptus bottle, New Directions took care of the mistake, no problem. I like the quality of these oils, not complaining, just curious if this one is correct? Either way I recieved a great oil, and am happy with every order I've recieved, ready to order again! These oils are the best quality I've ever used. Thanks!
