Description: Also known as Nag Champa, this absolute is extracted from the fragrant flowers of the Champaka tree.
It takes thousands and thousands of petals in order to produce a single kilogram of the absolute oil.
Color: A deep rich red
Common Uses: Champaka has a beautiful seductive fragrance and is widely used in the perfumery industry to create truly exotic scents. It can also be used to manufacture high end skin care products as well as in making incense. Champaka is considered useful as an anti-depressant and is said to soothe and relax the body and strengthen the mind. In massage therapy, it is used to support healthy joints and muscles and have a reputation as an effective aphrodisiac.

Blends well with: Champaka generally blends well with all oils, but specificly, it blends well with Guaiacwood, Sandalwood, and the herbal oil Calendula. Aromatic Description: Champaka has a well rounded aroma. There are initially green top notes followed by softer, more floral tones. ** It is important to note that all absolutes are extremely concentrated by nature. They should not be evaluated in this state unless you are accustomed to the undiluted fragrance. For those trying Absolutes for the first time, we strongly recommend they be evaluated in dilution. Otherwise, the complexity of the fragrance - particularly the rare and exotic notes - become lost. History: Champaka Is revered by the Hindus and is used to honor the God Vishnu.
