Botanical Name: Cocos nucifera

Extraction Method: Heat Processed

Description: Fractionated Coconut Oil is liquid at room temperature. It differs from Regular Coconut Oil in that it is produced by heat rather then cold pressing. Many consider it to be very comparable to the characteristics of human skin. It is also used on oily skin as it will not clog pores. It can also be used as a treatment to condition dull or dry hair.

Color: Clear colorless liquid.

Aromatic Description: Fractionated Coconut Carrier Oil has no scent characteristic of most carrier oils

Common Uses: Fractionated Coconut Carrier Oil is used almost exclusively by cosmetic manufacturers.

Consistency: Typical and Characteristic of Carrier Oils.

Absorption: Fractionated Coconut produces a barrier on the skin, but will not clog pores.

Shelf Life: Fractionated Coconut oil is extremely resistant to breaking down and does not go rancid like other carrier oils. The shelf life is indefinite with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration is not needed.

Cautions: Allergic reactions to this oil is a possibility, though less so than regular coconut.

Nice, light oil. Has just the slightest sweet tint to it; otherwise completely odorless. So far I've only used it in a brown sugar scrub for my lips. But I love that it didn't try sliding down my chin or into my mouth. ;p Can't wait to use it in a full body sugar scrub tomorrow.

I love this oil's super light, sweet aroma and it doesn't leave one's skin oily. I've used this in a couple of my favorite skin care recipes for the first and really liked the differences. I'm very happy with this product and will continue purchasing it.

I purchased this oil as a base for my husbands ankles and feet. He broke both ankles two years ago, and his ankles still get very sore and swollen through out the day. While he was soaking in a Himalayan Pink Salt foot bath, I mixed this with a little Frankincense, Myrrh, and Eucalyptus then massaged his ankles and feet. I was happy to see how well this oil absorbed in to the skin and didn't leave his feet (dangerously) greasy! Not to mention he slept like a baby that night! Will definitely buy again!

This is the first time I have worked with this particular coconut oil, I am used to the cold pressed ones, but I have no complaints with this oil, very nice to work with, it left my hair butters soft and moist.

This is turning into one of my favorite oils. It is so versatile. I started adding it to some of my soap products to get them to lather a bit. After doing some research and speaking with my vet, I used this oil to condition my aging pups fur a bit. Worked wonderfully! Great value for a great product!

I use this as a moisturizing spray. It is think enough to used in a misty sprayer. This QUICKLY became a top seller. Good product. I'm still debating if it's correct to call this oil 'scentless.' It has a bitter aftersmell characteristic of some old fashioned soaps. Great feel though. If it was scentless to my nose i would give it a 5 star, but the scent is actually annoying .. especially if you're using the oil for natural perfumery. Ahh.. who's counting.. 5 stars anyways! wooooo

Fractionated Coconut oil is a very light oil. Since adding it to my body butter recipe my finished product is now less greasy!
