SHIPPING ORDERS PLACED ON: AUG 17 & 18

Dear Customer,

Due to the rising costs of administering small orders, we are instituting a policy for minimum orders of $100, in our efforts to keep costs to as low as possible and offer the best wholesale pricing in the industry.

For orders less than $100, a small order administration fee of $20 will apply. This policy will be effective February 3rd, 2014. We truly regret any inconvenience that this might cause.

Kind Regards,

Alex B. Thomas
President

Curcuma Essential Oil

RatingRatingRatingRatingRating
Average Product Rating: 4 / 5 (Based on 4 Customer Reviews)

Main Constituents:
Curcumin: 23.75%

Botanical Name: Curcuma Longa L.

Plant Part: Root

Extraction Method: Steam Distilled

Origin: India

Description: Curcuma is a perennial plant with roots or tubers. It is a deep orange on the inside and has roots about 2 feet long.

Color: Yellow to golden yellow liquid.

Consistency: Thin

Aromatic Scent: Curcuma Essential Oil has the same spicy, fresh woods aroma as the powdered spice Tumeric used in Eastern cuisine. Many would argue that the oil is more brilliant, and more delicious.

Note: Base

Strength of Aroma: Medium

Blends well with: Curcuma Essential Oil lends a very distinct softness and roundness to any spicy scent or blend. This includes Ginger, Clove Bud and Cinnamon Bark as well as Ylang-ylang and Clary Sage.

Common Uses: Curcuma, also known as Wild Turmeric, is viewed as a strong relaxant and balancer in Ayurvedic medicine and an anticarcinogen in Chinese medicine. It also has historical applications as an antiseptic and for skin care use to treat acne and discourage facial hair in women.

History: In use for the past 2,500 years, the traditional use of Curcuma in India has been as an antiseptic, and in small amounts, as a spice. Curcuma is often compared to its cousin Turmeric, well-known globally, but a less flavourful spice.

Cautions: Curcuma Essential Oil has potential irritating and toxic effects when used in large concentrations. Avoid use during pregnancy.

I've been in alternative health and a massage therapist now for 21 years. My husband and I were in Mexico on vacation and had a wonderful massage on the Ocean Beach. I had to find out the scent she used and found it to be Curcuma and lavender. I never used Curcuma and am going to order and try with my clients. Also would like to try with your recommendations of oils to mix with. My experience with the scent was one of great release and peace.

This oil smells very clean fresh crisp like a cucumber scent. Very happy I purchased this oil for the skin care however my research of this oil found it is capable of doing much more in a study Antibacterial activity of essential oil derived from Curcuma including stubborn MRSA and a yet another study at PubMed "Neuroprotective efficacy and therapeutic window of curcuma oil" So I am excited to see what can do.

This is a very interesting scent. It does smell much like tumeric but still unique. I haven't tried it yet, but perhaps blend it with Blood Orange, Bergamont, and Rose Geranium. Ginger or Cardamom would probably be nice too. (My first thoughts anyway)
