The Dead Sea is the most saline body of water in the world with far greater concentrations of minerals than any ocean (a concentration of 32% minerals compared to other seas, holding approximately 3%).

Mud from the Dead Sea has a high salt and mineral content, all of which are essential for the body. The mud infuses the skin with minerals leaving it clean, refreshed and hydrated. This product is mildly fragranced to neutralize its musky odour.

Dead Sea mud has the dual purpose of exfoliating as well as being as a natural cleanser. It not only removes toxins and impurities from the skin, but also tightens and tones the skin, improves blood circulation, hydrates the skin and aids in skin regeneration.

We recommend that you try the Dead Sea Mineral Mud as a face or body mask, by applying and leaving on skin to dry, then rinsing off and moisturizing to complete this refreshing feeling.

Please note that this product contains Phenoxyethanol (1%), which has been added as a preservative to maintain the shelf life of the product. While we always strive to keep our products chemical-free, the nature of Dead Sea Mineral Mud requires the addition of a full-spectrum preservative to prevent the growth of bacteria and mould. I just opened my new store and I have purchased the 25 pound block of Goat Milk soap as well as the 25 Pound block of Glycerine Soap. I am pleased to say that I have started making Mens soaps. Yesterday, a customer came back to my store and said "I can not believe that the Glycerine Soap that you made with effoliants cleared my sons face up tin two days !!! So far, I've only used this mud as a facial mask by itself, but the texture is fantastic for mixing and it has a pleasant smell. It dried relatively quickly and felt like it was tightening my skin right away! After I rinsed, my skin felt tight, clean and refreshed, even in the morning! I definitely recommend this product!

Da bomb baby, originally I bought a mini dead sea mask from a friend on etsy,I'ma dude btw, and she mixed it with honey so i kinda memorized the smell of dead sea mud. The moment my package arrive i plopped it open and smell the mud, and it smells good lol. anyways it rinsed off easy on my face, very easy,compared to clay. I feel like everyone, teenagers,adults,and elderly people should lay off the clay which would support our soil and other things, and just buy nothing but Mud from around the world, I know there are loads of natural mud spas that people can make product from. 1. its easy to rinse off. 2. no irritation, I got sensitive red acne inflamed skin from my diet, this didn't create any irritation, it eased the redness on my face. 3.It has a wetting agent in it, I suspect the dead sea water from when they extract it. 4. You can use it str8 from the jar without having to mix in something else lol, also only a little is needed. With the tight hard to get off clay mask I was using,they made a mess everywhere, they tore my skin, and I used to use alot of it,and it was very thick, but this mud has a natural consistency that basically doesn't need everything. Once again, Newdirectionaromatics is the bomb. I used to order from Mountain rose herbs but I just switched my direction lol, and will only order hygiene,cosmetic things from this site only. After purchasing this Dead Sea mud, it has become a major part of of my skincare regime. It makes my skin so soft and smooth. After I wash it off, I can really tell that it has cleansed my skin, which is sometimes a guessing game with store brought cleansers. At first the smell was bothersome, but now it doesn't bother me at all. I would not recommend mixing it with heavy oils. It makes it harder to spread it and it won't properly stay on the skin. It mixes fine with essential oils. I like to add a few drops of tea tree oil. NDA is forever my supplier of Dead Sea mud. Thank you!!

I could not wait to try this stuff out! Put it on my face like a mask. It is quite thick, and the sulphuric smell is a little harsh. Next time I will be adding some essential oils. Immediately after putting it on, I could feel the delightful tightening of my skin as the mud dried. It took a bit of effort to wash it off, but once my skin was dry it felt amazing. I'm already looking forward to using it again, and I am recommending it to friends. I will definitely be buying more.

Ok, if you can get past the smell, you'll be alright. The sulfuric odour aside, the mud is great, straight on the face. I wanted to soften up the mud a bit as it is not pourable or even scoopable into a bottle. I added a bit of grapeseed oil to a small amount and tried to thin it that way. That didn't work. It did, however make for a nice rub. I used it on my face and it felt so soft and exfoliated afterwards. The mud clumped up and formed little blobs with the addition of the grapeseed oil. It didn't combined and soften the mud. Anyone know how i can thin this out to get into small bottles? I don't want to add water for fear of spoiling.

Wow, I did not know it would smell so sweetly good! I love the smell. It does sting on my sensitive skin, but the redness went away almost instantly after rinsing off. And my skin felt so soft afterward. This to me is a very exotic product that can be blended with other ingredients to maybe tone down the sting or used alone. Did I say it smells sooo good? I almost smells like it has expensive flower essential oils added to it.

I love this mud!! It smells bad because of the high sulfur content, but that is why it is so healling. You can mix e.o. oils in it if you don't like the smell. You get used to it though. I mix it with avocado oil, and it ends up detoxing and moisturizing at the same time. My skin feels great afterwards. Nice dark green color. If skin is oily, use it straight. It was a little too drying by itself for my skin type. It would have been a God sent when I was a teenager.

I initally bought this mineral mud for facial use and to consider offering in my upcoming product line, but after reading the reviews I tried it on a painful joint in my big toe. I do love this mud. I guess uglier is better. Inspired by another review for this product, I've made my own facial mask to combat rosacea -- Dead Sea Mud, Australian Green Clay, Honey Powder, and Lavender Water. Does this stuff work!! Also, another benefit has been to combat a terrible case of acne that resurrected itself after a head injury secondary to pituitary gland damage. I've sent a jar of this to my father -- that's whom I inherited the rosacea from, and he thinks it's marvelous. (And he never thought much of doing anything for his case other than the prescription creams which only helps reduce the rosacea somewhat...) Being a physician, I do recognize there is much more out there that what exists in my PDR... Thank you, ND! I only which you were in existence when I was a pre-teen -- that was the time I was doing some great experimentation with home-made cosmetics. Well, I guess it isn't too late to indulge in that hobby now.

I love this mud, and so do my clients. I use it once a week as a face mask and its helping clear up my trouble skin. One of my clients put this on his thumb that he injured and was having trouble with mobility. After leaving on for about five minuets mobility was starting to return. Really amazing stuff.

I have 40+ sensitive skin with ruddiness on the cheeks and throat. Began using this mud once a week and my skin feels terrific. The pores are smaller and the redness has been diminished. Amazing!!!! I love working with this stuff. I have done facials mixed with other clays, oils, floral waters and essential oils to customize the treatment and the results were fantastic. I have done a detox foot mask and my customers were detoxed. They reported feeling refreshed and alittle lighter on their feet,LOL. This is a really great mineral mud pack. Based on other reviews, I did try mixing a little unrefined hemp with it. I didn't like it as well with the hemp and I had trouble incorporating anything into it. The great thing is, you don't need to. Straight out of the jar is best! Leaves skin smooth & silky. Does have a salty scent, but everyone, including me, seems to think this is one of the best things about it. Be sure to buy more than you think you need as it goes like hotcakes.

The most amazing clay/mud I have ever used! I have very oily skin for a 55 yr old. This mud clears your skin of the blackheads & whiteheads the very 1st time. I steam my face regularly and that aids in clearing up the blackheads too. Great for a breakout & putting some on at night and the spot looks so much smaller by morning and gone soon after. My skin looks much brighter & little to no wrinkles. I have added some Rhassoul Clay to the mud & thinned with some warmed floral waters - OH MY! the best! I purchased my dead sea mud a few weeks back and have been using it consistently. I have mild acne and this mud has improved my skin to the 100th power. I love it. It does exactly what ND says. I can't beleive it really works. I used it last night, and after one use I can see my pores are smaller & skin is less red. (I have sensitive, acne prone skin) I was worried it would be too strong like non-natural masks have been....or too drying....I left it on about 10 minutes. Even the next morning, pores were still smaller, and skin less oily. The smell is very mild & earthy, I don't mind it. I think it's a great price too. :)

I have extremely sensitive skin and have had a problem with eczema since childhood. Usually colloided oats or german chamomile is recommended for sensitive skin but wouldn't you know it I'm allergic to oats and ragweed, which chamomile is. I had tried NDA's dead sea salts in my bath and that really did wonders so I decided to try the mud to see how that worked. It left my skin soft and non-irritated and even helped with the redness in my cheeks due to Rosacea. I've seen a few reviews on here that noted a slight unpleasant smell but I did not notice anything unpleasant at all. The mud has a slight order but smells clean to me.

I don't normally write review but I love this mud! I immediately made a mud mask after opening the jar. It tingled and left my skin smooth and soft. Next I mixed in clays, extracts, and essential oils to make a detoxifying and a cellulite mud. For mature skin like mine, I recommend adding a hydrosol, aloe or water to make it a bit creamier and easier to spread. The smell isn't very strong and can easily be masked with essential oils.

I just recieved mine a few days ago and just tried it. I like it a lot! I read the reviews and wasn't so sure if I would like it or not, but it did what everyone said it would. I also had two small zits starting to show and this stuff made all the gunk come right to the surface so I could get it out of there! (safely of course. I'm an esthetics student hehe) I mixed some Grapefruit Pink eo and Lavender Spanish eo, and some vitamin e oil just for fun. It was uplifting but also relaxing and tingled on my skin. Ahhhhh, like a breath of fresh air. So glad I found ND!

This is a great product, I use regularly on my underarms.........yes underarms!! I have always have problems with odour and do not wish to use any of the chemical ladden products out there, so I usually put some of this under my arms let it sit for about 10 minutes...so read a magazine for that time, have a nice bath and then wash it right off in the tub. When I use this product at least 3 times per week I have very little problems with odour or bacteria forming in the arm pit area. Great for a facial mask as well!!

Dead Sea Mineral Mud is amazing! I mix a little unrefined hemp seed oil and peppermint extract in for a cooling, nourishing face mask. This mud really tightens and softens the skin. It's an excellent astringent as well. I rarely ever have acne; but oddly enough, I developed a pimple right after I ordered this mud. After only one face mask application, the pimple was gone. Sweet! This is going to make it's way into my CP soap sooner or later.

This stuff is the BEST!!! When my delivery came it was the first thing I tried and I was NOT disappointed! It great I used it as a mask and it totally cleaned out my visible pores. I also tried it as a spot treatment on my pimples and it cleared that up too! GREAT PRODUCT!

Though it disturbs my children to see me in this mask, the end results are worth it! It helps me to keep my skin looking like theirs, and that is not an exaggeration! So far, I've only used it alone after a good steam treatment to really open and clean out my pores.

This is AMAZING!!!! mixed with clay it visibly cleans out pores and refreshes skin. My skin is slightly oily and used to break out from my pores becoming clogged, I have been making my own mask with this and other products from nd and my skin has never looked better. So excited to have this product and is worth every penny.

This is wonderful for facials! It is very thick, so it takes a bit of work to mix in additives, but it is worth it.

This mud is FANTASTIC!!! I have combination skin (oily nose & forehead - dry cheeks) and I was afraid the mud would make my cheeks drier but it didn't! I simply applied the mud, let it dry and rinsed then followed with my usual moisturizer. My face feels so baby soft and smooth and not dry at all!! I was also pleasantly suprised that the odor wasn't as strong or as bad as I was expecting. In fact there is very little odor and what little there is wasn't unpleasant and I had it all around my nostils. Someone said earlier to get more than you think you need and I would absolutely second that advise. This is fabulous stuff and ND is a terrific company to order from.

A friend had a blood poisoning from his toes to his knee. By applying a poultice of Dead Sea mud on a regular schedule for six weeks all infection was removed and he healed completely.

This mud mask is the only mask I use. Yes I admit, the smell of the mud is not so appealing but the results are more than wonderful to make up for it. I use it straight as is.

Amazing, amazing stuff. I have severe acne, and where I used to pay top dollar for fancy clay or mud masks, this stuff is the most effective product out there for both face any body. My only warning? Get more than you think you need!

i've been waiting for this mud to be re-stocked for some time! and when finally it was, i purchased it and used it on the day i received the order. i didn't quite like the smell of it, but the cleansing and detoxifying result is great! i got the tinkly feeling on my face, and i liked it :) another day i used it on my body, and then i realized i should have got the bigger tub!

I am not exaggerating when I say that this is the best mud mask in the world.
