Dead Sea Salt - Coarse

Description: The Dead Sea is the most saline body of water in the world with far greater concentrations of minerals than any ocean (a concentration of 32% minerals compared to other seas, holding approximately 3%).

Bromides and Iodine are present in Dead Sea Salt, including other minerals in a dried form, such as Magnesium, Sodium, Calcium and Potassium. All these minerals work together as regulators of cell activity and daily functioning, relieving muscular pain and stabilizing fluid levels in the body.

The rough nature of the salt lends itself to skin scrubs (exfoliation) and can also be used with Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate). We recommend you try Dead Sea Salt as a body scrub, or just as a relaxing additive to your baths.

Body Scrub and Soak You will need: 2 cups Dead Sea Salt 3 teaspoon Raw Honey 6 drops Clementine 6 drops Grapefruit Pink 6 drops Mandarin

Instructions: In a small bowl mix the oils and honey into the Dead Sea Salts. Hop into the bath water and wet your body (don’t make the water too hot or you will get sleepy and not refreshed). Stand up in the bath and take a handful of the salt mixture at a time and scrub down your entire body. Let the mixture fall into the tub. Soak for no more than 20 minutes as this mixture is to refresh and rejuvenate. Massage your entire body with Jojoba oil blended with your favorite essential oil combination and allow the oil to absorb into your skin

Amazingly strong. These salts are able to hold up to way more essential oils than you think they could without crumbling or melting. Yet they melt beautifully in your bathtub or foot spa. I highly recommend this product!

This is certainly coarse. I thought it would be finer and wanted to make scrubs. It's the size of pebbles. But this is really nice. I have mixed it with all kinds of oils and used it as bath salts. I'm still trying to figure out how much oil to use, it's never enough; but the salts dissovle pretty quickly and really make the bath relaxing. I'm eager to get the same salt in "fine" to make scrubs. I tried the recipe here and like it.

Being a first time buyer on ND I had no idea what to expect from this product, When it finally came I was absolutely impressed. If you're making salt scrubs I would recommend getting the fine salt which is absolutely wonderful as well.

Make yourself some bath salts with these mineral salts and some essential oils and dried flowers. Not only does it help aching muscles but any skin irritations can be soothed and the salts help to draw out any infections.

Dead Sea Mineral Salt - OH MY GOSH!!! Fantastic, Oh what a feeling! I followed the receipe that New Directions provided. I give this a 10 . All my joints and my body feel so refreshed and rejuvenated I I am not using those worlds lightly. Thanks so much for the great receipe it will be well used.

So, we purchased this product (among others) 10 days ago and our items arrived today. The MINUTE I opened up these coarse salts I had to sample them. 6oz of Salt, 8 drops of fragrance, and one tablespoon of sunflower oil later I had my cocktail! I HAVE NEVER HAD A BETTER SOAK IN MY TUB! These are by far the best salts I've used to date. My search is OVER!

I haven't needed it for joint pain, but the recipe included above is AWESOME! It leaves your skin absolutely glowing. I feared when I ordered it that the individual salt granules would be sharp-edged, but they aren't at all - perfect for body scrubbing!

I concur with the other review regarding joint pain. As a massage therapist, I use this product at least once a week in a bath (2 cups of it) to refresh my tired, hard working body. My skin feels softer and relaxed over all. A great product to mix with essential oils such as cajeput for joint and muscle aches and pains, or any one of New Directions Lavendars. Superior quality!
