The Dead Sea is the most saline body of water in the world with far greater concentrations of minerals than any ocean (a concentration of 32% minerals compared to other seas, holding approximately 3%). Bromides and Iodine are present in Dead Sea Salt, including other minerals in a dried form, such as Magnesium, Sodium, Calcium and Potassium. All these minerals work together as regulators of cell activity and daily functioning, relieving muscular pain and stabilizing fluid levels in the body.
Our Fine Dead Sea Salt variety is white in color and has a consistency similar to table salt. The rough nature of the salt lends itself to skin scrubs (exfoliation) and can also be used with Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate). We recommend you try Dead Sea Salt as a body scrub or just as a relaxing additive to your baths.

Body Scrub & Soak Recipe:
In a small bowl mix 6 drops Clementine, 6 drops Grapefruit Pink, 6 drops Mandarin Essential Oils and 3 teaspoon honey into 2 cups Dead Sea Salts. Hop into the bath water and wet your body (don’t make the water too hot or you will get sleepy and not refreshed). Stand up in the bath and take a handful of the salt mixture at a time and scrub down your entire body. Let the mixture fall into the tub. Soak for no more than 20 minutes as this mixture is to refresh and rejuvenate. Massage your entire body with Jojoba oil blended with your favorite essential oil combination and allow the oil to absorb into your skin.

I am an inexperienced soap/spa/cosmetics maker and this was a great place to start. I added some french lavender essential oil from NDA and mixed with the salt for gifts. I had a hard time deciding between the coarse or fine, but the fine worked perfectly for what I was looking for. Highly recommend and will order again.

Beautiful salts, they look exactly as pictured, whitish clear with some yellow/brown tinted pieces. From other reviews I knew before I bought it that this salt would be relatively coarse, so it's just what I was expecting. I think NDA makes a mistake in saying the consistency is similar to table salt, but perhaps some batches are finer. A few months ago I mixed this with baking soda and regular sea salt and some essential oils to make really nice bath salts and was surprised last week to find that after the jar had been sitting unused for a few months under my bed, all the dead sea crystals had dissolved and the salts are now moist and clumped together. I don't know why it happened, and I don't think the salts are totally ruined, but it's something to keep in mind.

The grains were a bit larger than I expected being that it labled "fine". I used them as is mixed with a carrier oil and it still felt pretty good. I am sure that once I grind it down a little finer, I will have a perfect salt scrub. Overall satisfied with the product

These salts are wonderful, and they smell so fresh on their own that I sometimes use them without EO's... Of course blending is the fun part, and so far I've made 4 different types of bath salts...My favorite is a Detox blend with Patchouli, 5 fold Lemon, Basil & Juniper Berry....Smells so good and relaxing too.

When I opened my jars of Dead Sea Salt I was surprised at first to find moisture! But then while I was perusing the NDA forums it is the brine from the sea salt that makes it seem a little soft to the touch. But sea water is just as ‘nutritious’ as the concentrated salt itself. Nice fine texture, perfect for homemade body polishes which is exactly what I plan to do with mine!

This stuff is good. Check out the carrier oils and mix away. I like the almond oil, but just use a bit. The skin will collect the oil in a pretty dry mix. Then I also feel like I am getting the exfoliating and detoxifying benefits more stongly. Just a wonderful salt glow! My favorite scent mix so far is Lemon, Lavender, and Vanilla. I swear it's what sunshine would smell like if you could bottle it!

I love to mix my salts with Lavender Population Essential Oil from France and my Lemon Citrus Limonum from Italy. I think it is awesome that I have found a reliable source for the Dead Sea salts. I love this salt! I have used them in baths and in masks as well. I will be making a body scrub soon and will be using the fine salts. My mask is used for a face application so as it was nice to use the salt. I did put it through the blender first, just to give it a delicate consistency that is maybe gentler considering the application.

I have used this in a bath salt creation that is, with the addition of this ingredient, nothing short of pure decadence. I am a nurse, and I find my job extremely stressful at times. This makes taking a bath very luxurious and relaxing, and afterwards my skin is so soft and smooth that even my teenage son notices. Wonderful product.

I would not call this a fine consistancy, you can't use this in a body scrub without milling it a little further. I would call this medium consistancy, great for bath salts. It's a shame too, I was really waiting for this to be re-stocked so I could make scrubs with it.
