to Essential Oils, only their method of extraction is much more complex.
Their fragrances are also much more concentrated and complex. There is very
little oil in the plant parts being used.
As an example, it requires over 30 Roses to produce 1 drop of Rose Absolute!

Because of this low yield, food grade solvents are used to extract the oil; the
solvent is then removed at the end of the process. Traditional steam extraction
is ineffective in extracting these low yielding fragrances and the heat from the
steam often puts the quality of the absolute oil at risk.
In many cases those unaccustomed with Absolutes will find the initial fragrance
too intense. For this reason they are best evaluated in a dilution. Users will
find that while an Essential Oil is concentrated, Absolutes are even more so!
We offer both the pure Absolutes directly from the sources as well as Absolutes
in a 3% dilution of Jojoba.
