The seed of the Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum graecum) is a commonly used spice in Indian and African cuisines. With a distinct odour resembling an intense mixture of Celery, Spices, and Balsamic sweetness, traces of fenugreek extract can either ruin a perfume, or complement it in certain compositions, such as oriental bases. Fenugreek extract is also used as a calmative agent for skin care preparations.
