Have recently begun blending my own oils and just got some of the unscented body butter. Was so excited that I only now realized I have no idea what ratio of EO's to butter is advisable and how much will be too much and end up liquifying the blend.
Also...
Has anyone tried adding a carrier oil to the butter for extra properties? Like adding hemp seed or arnica to include the anti-inflammatory aspect?
Can the body butter be used as a massage cream?
Now that I've got it, I want to use it in everything
Thanks for your help. _________________ It is a fool's prerogative to utter truths that no one else will speak.

Yes, you can use it as massage cream. The more liquid oils you add, the thinner it will become. Depending on essential oils used, I use about 0.5 oz. of the total blend in 1 lb. of body butter. _________________ Irena

.5 oz in 1 lb body butter?
When dealing with much smaller batches, like 50 ml body butter, more or less how much oil do you recommend? I know there's a range for the ratio that will affect how thin it becomes, just working with little testers before making bigger batches.
Am also pulling my hair out with conversions of ml, oz and lb.
I appreciate the input. _________________ It is a fool's prerogative to utter truths that no one else will speak.

That's 3.125% (.5oz/16oz)... so 50mL x 3.125% = 1.5625 mL.
I would work in grams instead though. _________________ Full of useless links... or maybe not so useless?
