Politically correct is IMO what is "de bon ton" to think or to behave. I will try not to give you too much trouble, but I try to be the clearest I can in YOUR language.
Well, obviously, Samsmom, now everybody knows that you fell on a killer's troup. Anyway, you can shoot as you wish in your Rockies. Nobody will hear you.
What an instructive thread, really. _________________ lily |

I have nothing much to add to this, except that I agree with and have enjoyed reading this thread. Living with almost entirely farmers, I have to say that they probably wouldn't just as soon shoot you as deal with you, but they do own a few firearms Mostly, farmers are extremely friendly, basic, and practical.
I have been East as far as Niagra Falls and enjoyed the whole trip. Can't say that some folks out there are much different from here. I have been through the States and have to say that as a generalization, I have found Americans to be more friendly and open than here.
There are exceptions to every stereo-type, of course. _________________ Debra |

Of course, dear, but you should have come in the Province of Quebec. It smells pea soup, people are extremely sympathetic, except that in the countries, they speak French.
I think that there is a French culture that is different in this Province. Therefore, it is not the only Province where there are French people. I have Acadian friends (from New Brunswick) and they are very good people too. We finally have many cultures in Canada. Same in US too. I heard that there are big French communities in Manitoba.
We could talk about that for a long time...
We have common interests that make us go through those things and this is a lot appreciable, isn't it. There are prejudices when people share nothing and this is fortunately not our case.
This said, my sheep's milk is still in the freezer and I can't decide wheter I will make soap or ricotta with it... _________________ lily |

Go for the cheese... Cheese is my favorite thing! You can use ANYTHING for soap, but not anything for cheese. _________________ Full of useless links... or maybe not so useless?

Nope, not even yogurt. I just drink a lot of soy milk. _________________ Irena
