French Pink Clay is a combination of red and white clays. It is considered to be the mildest of all the clays and works well for normal, sensitive and mature skin types. Its unique composition includes Kaolinite, Iron, Illite, Montmorillonite and Calcite.

Appearance: Fine rose/pink colored powder.

Benefits: French Pink Clay can be used to cleanse and detoxify the skin, remove dead skin cells and create and overall refreshed appearance. It can also be used to treat acne and other skin ailments; poor blood and/or lymph circulation and sun damaged skin. It is most widely used in cosmetic manufacturing.

Application: French Pink Clay can be used in detoxifying body wraps, soap making, face masks, mineral based or cream based cleansers, face or body scrubs, cosmetics and facial powders.

Caution: Caution should be exercised as clays may stain fabric.

Soothing Face Mask Recipe:
Combine 1 oz of clay to 3 tbsp of water, add 1 tsp of jojoba oil and 2 drops of chamomile essential oil to form a paste. Apply to the skin and leave for about 10 minutes and wash off with warm water. Floral water or aloe vera gel juice can be substituted for water.

Foaming Baths and Shampoos Recipe:
Add 5-10% of clays to product. Simply sprinkle the clay in, allowing it to settle. Always shake before use as the Clay sinks to the bottom.

I have used the French Clay several times, as it is a favorite amongst many of my facial clients. I use it on almost any skin type with a wide variety of skin ailments, especially my acne prone clientelle. They love the soothing and tightening effect the clay has as a mud mask. Acne has been cleared up approximately 30% in a 1st treatment on many of my younger clients. It is easy to mix into a facial paste, easy to apply and quite easy to remove. I reccommend this clay! Two thumbs up from me and my client base.
