Description: The grapefruit is a sub-tropical citrus tree grown for its fruit. The Grapefruit tree itself is a large, shiny gloss-leaved tree, about 10 meters (30 feet) high, with white flowers and large, pale yellow fruit.
Common Uses: Grapefruit is considered rich in antioxidants and is said to have a cleansing and toning effect on the skin. It can be used as part of an acne treatment and skin care products, however it may cause photosensitization.
