Botanical Name: Cannabis sativa

Extraction Method: Cold Pressed

Description: Hempseed Carrier Oil is high in Omega fatty acids and proteins. It is a fantastic cosmetic grade oil due to its nutrients, though the illegal Cannabis association tends to reduce its popularity. It is currently being more readily explored by progressive manufacturers.

Color: Pale yellow to golden yellow liquid.

Aromatic Description: Refined Hemp Seed has a distinct aroma. While still relatively mild, it is stronger than most other carrier oils.

Common Uses: Hempseed Carrier Oil is becoming a popular manufacturing oil, though only through pioneers in the cosmetic field.

Consistency: Typical and Characteristic of Carrier Oils.

Absorption: Absorbs into skin at average speed, slight oil feeling left on skin.

Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of 1 year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

I was worried about the smell of this product after some of the reviews, but it's not a heavy scented oil at all. Has a slight nuttiness to it with a hint of fresh cut grass. I do not mind the smell at all. But forget about the smell anyway because the oil is amazing for just about everything. Leaves my skin glowing and petal soft. I personally use this in an OCM mix and as a moisturizer all on its own. I almost feel like tossing everything else i have for my face out the window and just keep this in a bottle by the sink. Even my husband loves this stuff and uses it straight out of the bottle on his dry hands. My new favourite oil hands down.

A bit more oily than I expected, but that is honestly my only complaint. I use this in every recipe I make. Personally, I love the feel of the oil and something about hemp just feels right for me (not a smoker, but see potential in hemp as an all-purpose agricultural staple). My clients dig it as well. because of the positive reviews i got this and continue to be amazed by the wonderful products that nda provides for it customers. i mix 4 oz premium cosmetic creme with a tbls of hemp oil and fo for the best body creme i have ever used this includes shalimar body creme and estee lauder at about $30/container. i figure about 3 bucks for product and labor for this great stuff!

I have used this in my bath bombs, and I like it. It's a nice light oil, similar in consistency to grapeseed oil, and doesn't leave a film around the bath tub.

My rehabilitation clinic makes an anti-inflammatory analgesic massage oil using hempseed oil from NDA as the primary ingredient. Unlike most oils, hempseed absorbs quickly and feels fantastic on the skin. Allergy to this oil seems to be rare. It’s also high (80%) in omega fatty acids, which may account for it’s anti-inflammatory and pain-relief properties on tissues and joints. And hempseed oil can be refrigerated and even frozen to help retain freshness.

This oil has a distinctive scent, so I've not found it to be great with added scent, but it is an awesome massage oil. I've also added it to hair conditioner with success.

I've seen tons of recipes lately that call for hemp seed oil, and NDA had -the- best price I could find anywhere, and I'm a research nut. The oil itself sinks in quickly and feels wonderful on the skin. If you haven't tried it, substitute it for some of your other oils like grapeseed or sweet almond. Between hemp oil and hemp butter, I've been inspired to create a whole line of products -- Grass Roots cream, Lemon Grass lip butter -- with "grass!"
