Description: Jasmine Grandiflorum is a beautiful plant; its flowers bloom in the early dawn as opposed to Jasmine Sambac that blooms in the evening.

Color: Light reddish brown liquid.

Common Uses: Jasmine Grandiflorum Absolute is well respected for its aphrodisiac properties. It is a sensual, soothing, calming oil that promotes love and peace.

Blends well with: Jasmine Grandiflorum Absolute generally works with all oils. It helps to round out scents, and tends to work particularly well with other aphrodisiac oils (Sandalwood and Ylang-ylang are two great examples)

Aromatic Scent: Jasmine Grandiflorum Absolute has a smooth, extremely intense floral smell that is both sweet and lingering.

History: Since ancient times, Jasmine has been referred to as the King of oils (Rose is the Queen). Apparently this is because Jasmine is the most masculine of all the floral oils. It is also interesting to note that it takes 8,000 carefully hand-picked blossoms to produce 1 gram (about 1 ml.) of Jasmine Absolute.

Cautions: It is important to note that all absolutes are extremely concentrated by nature. They should not be evaluated in this state unless you are accustomed to the undiluted fragrance. For those trying Absolutes for the first time, we strongly recommend they be evaluated in dilution. Otherwise, the complexity of the fragrance - particularly the rare and exotic notes - becomes lost.

Absolutely Gorgeous! And if you are a soaper, you only need a drop or two for several bars. I like to use the Non-Certified Organic Melt and Pour Soap Base and create my own floral blends. Rose Absolute (Maroc) goes so nice with this even for a perfume diluted in a bit of Jojoba oil (which NEVER goes rancid). From the first time I blended these together, I was soooo in Love with it!

I love Jasmine Sambac more than Jasmine Grandiflorum. Sambac is more sweet and Grandiflorum is more on the bitter side (if you compare it to Sambac). Both great depending what you will put them into or mix it with. But on its own, Sambac is like putting your nose right in the flower, its so lovely. I wish the 5ml was a bit cheaper since it is to try it out....if you compare to the 15 ml.

This is the best smelling jasmine grandiflorum absolute around. I've purchased jasmine absolutes from many major eo companies, and this one smells the freshest and the most intricate. I have both the 3% dilution and the abolute. The 3% is great, because I can use it as a perfume oil right away, and the scent is smooth and welcoming.

I adore this jasmine grandiflorum! It is one of the very best jasmine g's I've ever encountered ~ very tenacious, heavy and cloying. I diluted this down to 30% and it retains its heaviness beautifully. The price is excellent for a product of this quality.
