Jasmine Sambac 3%

absolute Botanical Name: Jasminum sambac
Plant Part: Flower
Extraction Method: Food Grade Solvent
Origin: India
Description: Jasmine Sambac is a beautiful plant; its flowers bloom late in the evening unlike Jasmine Grandiflorum that blooms in the early dawn.
Color: Orange to Brown
Common Uses: Jasmine Sambac is well regarded as an aphrodisiac, though it is also considered an antidepressant, sedative, and antispasmodic.
Consistency: Viscous
Note: Middle to Base
Strength of Aroma: Strong
Blends well with: Jasmine Sambac generally works with all oils. It helps to round out scents, and tends to work particularly well with other aphrodisiac oils (sandalwood and Ylang Ylang are two great examples)
Aromatic Description: Jasmine Sambac is an incredibly intense aroma that is very floral, yet more musky and masculine than the Jasmine Grandiflorum.
History: Since ancient times, Jasmine has been referred to as the King of oils (Rose is the Queen). Apparently this is because Jasmine is the most masculine of all the floral oils. It is also interesting to note that It takes 8,000 carefully hand-picked blossoms to produce 1 gram (about 1 ml.) of Jasmine Absolute.

I love this smell. The 3% dilution is strong enough that the jasmine smell is noticable in CP soap. I have never been a fan of regular jasmine, but the sambac has a more subdued honey-like smell to me.

This is fabulous! I was, as others were, very shocked at the strength of this oil! I put 10 drops into a 4 ounce bottle of lotion for me and it is almost overpowering. I am considering rebottling it into two 4 ounce bottles and adding more unscented lotion, rofl. Very strong, intense jasmine aroma.

Ughhh! I absolutely love the scent of this night blooming jasmine! I prefer Jasminum Sambac which has a lush and wet scent to Jasminum Grandiflorum which is considered to be more flowery. In my EO perfume blend, this Jasmine balances the many sweet florals to give it a more rounded and complete aroma!

I usually find jasmine too sweet and cloying, so this is a lovely way to use it! I like the fresher, less intense scent of the sambac jasmine compared to the grandiflorum.

I adore the 3% dilutions. They are much stronger than I had anticipated and reasonably priced. A great way to include otherwise unaffordable scents in my formulations. I would love to see a larger variety offered in the future.

This is just a divine scent! A little bit is all you need to mix in a lotion. I use it as a perfume oil, too. Does anyone know how to make the scent last longer?

Jasmine Sambac has an intense floral fragrance; smells just like the actual flower. But I don't think it is "musky and masculine."

I like the 3% dilutions, it works just as wonderful as the other essential oils . And the price is great.
