Our Lab Colors are formulated specifically to work in all bath and toiletry products. They are made from D&C and FD&C dyes which means they are tested to be safe. They are also stable in low and high pH environments. High pH products include cold process soaps. Low pH products include creams, lotions, gels and melt and pour soap bases.
Colors Include:
Fuschia, Emerald, Lime, Orange, Peach, Canary Yellow, Royal Purple, Red, Melon Red, Brilliant Blue, Aqua, Blue Mix.
Uses: Lab Colors may be used by the drop or by mixing with water to give you the flexibility to either use them by the drop undiluted or if you prefer to mix them into liquids. The depth of color will vary depending on how much dye you add to your product.
To mix with water: add the contents of the 1/3 oz bottle to 8 ounces of water, or add contents of the 2/3 oz bottle to 16 ounces of water.

I just had the chance to look over the lab color kit I recieved in my last order and I am SO totally pleased! First of all the colors are perfect for making MORE colors! The kit comes with a color guide that not only tells you how to mix the base colors to achieve more colors but also has information about PH balance for the different kind of products one may make! This five page color chart comes on a ring so you can hang it on your wall for easy access as well! It is made of hard card stock too so it lasts a long time! It also comes with a forumlary and mixing guide book that has taught me a lot about colors, pH, carrier oils and that like. Thanks New Directions for putting this together!
