Description: Lavender Croatian is an evergreen woody shrub, up to 1 meter tall, with pale green, narrow linear leaves and violet blue flowers.
Color: Pale yellow to yellow liquid.
Common Uses: Properties of Lavender Croatian Essential Oil include analgesic, anti-convulsive, anti-depressant, anti-phlogistic, antirheumatic, antseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral, bactericide, carminative, cholagogue, cicatrisant, cordial, cytophylactic, decongestant, deodorant, and as a diuretic. Herbalist regards Lavender as the most useful and versatile essential oil for therapeutic purposes. Lavender is the essential oil most commonly associated with burns and healing of the skin. It also has antiseptic and analgesic properties which will ease the pain of a burn and prevent infection. It also has cytophylactic properties that promote rapid healing and help reduce scarring. The scent of Lavender is said to have a calming effect on the body and it can be used to reduce anxiety, stress and promote sleep. Lavender Croatian is a very therapeutic grade comparable in status to the better known Lavender Population. The different soil, temperature, precipitation, etc. contributes to some subtle changes in scent, the greatest advantage being for more sophisticated label claims.

Blends well with: Bay, Bergamot, Chamomile, Citronella, Clary Sage, Geranium, Jasmine, Lemon, Mandarin, Orange, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Pine, Tangerine, Thyme, Rosemary, Rosewood and Ylang-ylang.
Aromatic Scent: Lavender Croatian Essential Oil has a sharper more campharaceous aroma preferred by some.
History: Lavender is adapted to living in a dry climate and is native to the western half of the Mediterranean, reaching altitudes of up to 1800 meters. It is believed that the Romans and the Benedictine monks subsequently introduced it to rest of Europe.
Cautions: Lavender Croatian Essential Oil is non-toxic, non-irritating and non-sensitizing.

Wonderful lavender, also my personal favorite. It is slightly sweeter than lavendula angustifolia--which tends to be the most commonly found lavender. It is also a bit lighter, and quite wonderful. I love that ND has different kinds of lavender easily available.

This is a really nice lavender. The scent is very balanced; you smell the sweetness of the flower but there's an herbal note to the smell as well. Of the three NDA lavenders I've tried (Bulgarian, Croatian and French), this one is second in terms of the strength of the scent and the depth of the floral component. I think this one would be best blended with other "herbal" smelling EOs, or to balance out another floral fragrance. I wouldn't recommend combining it with a citrus or spice oil.

I am very familiar with lavender essential oil. Croatian is a famous one and the one I love most. The lavender essential oil I got from new direction is really cheap, while of high quality. I highly recommend it to people love lavender!

This is my favorite lavender. To me, the sent is more delicate than some of the other lavenders. I use lavender neat for burns and I'm glad I've finally found one with a sent I like.

The absolute best Lavender to use in soap! Strong, penetrating and lasting. Doesnt fade like some of the other lavender's. In my opinion it is the typical smelling lavender that most people associate with a lavender. I will never use another in my soaps and I also use it in all my other body care products. LOVE IT !! The price is right too!
