Description: The Lemon tree was originally a small thorny evergreen tree native to India. It is now common in Southern Europe, Florida and California. Five Fold Citrus Essential Oils are more concentrated than the regular citrus essential oils. Through extended distillation, terpenes are removed from the oil rendering more suitable for cosmetic applications. Similarly, the increased concentration makes the essential oil fragrance much stronger - perfect for soap & candle makers!

Color: Pale yellow to yellow liquid.

Common Uses: Lemon Essential Oil has been historically recognized as a cleanser. It is reputed as being antiseptic, and as having refreshing and cooling properties. On skin and hair it can be used for its cleansing effect, as well as for treating cuts and boils. Research has also shown Lemon Essential Oil to enhance the ability to concentrate.

History: The fruit was well known in Europe by the middle ages, and Greeks and Romans were advocates of its therapeutic properties. Lemon essential oil reached the height of its fame when the British began using the citrus fruit to counteract the effects of scurvy.

Cautions: Lemon 5 Fold Essential Oil is non-toxic, but may cause skin irritation in some. Lemon is also phototoxic and should be avoided prior to exposure to direct sunlight. Avoid during pregnancy.

This is a great EO, with all the fabulous, fresh scent of lemons! It's great used solo, and worked beautifully in a batch of CP shampoo bars I made. It would also be great as part of an all-natural multi-purpose household cleanser.

I love this oil in my ultrasonic nebulizer. Citrus oils tend to weak in my nebulizer but this one is nice and strong! I love it in my cleaning products and room sprays to freshen the air and eliminate cooking odors-I disagree about the pledge smell, though. The scent is much crisper than lemon pledge. I also love it in my eau-de-cologne blends. I may never buy plain lemon oil again.

VERY sharp lemon zest smell! I personally love it, and am looking forward to using it to blend with other scents, but my husband took one whiff and exclaimed "Pledge!!!" If you're looking for a slightly softer lemon, with less sharpness, but still a good true lemon smell, the lemon blossom fragrant oil is also a good choice.

I love using this to clean. I add a few drops to some cheap vodka and wipe down everything. I also use it in my bathroom and I just love the way the scent lingers. It's so freash and revitalizing. Oh, and if I mix it with a few drops of lavender, it is even better.

I LOVE lemon, and it's one of my favorite smells, so I got the 5 fold thinking I could get more of the smell out of less essential oil. As much as I love it, I think I probably could get by using the standard strength lemon EO. (I don't make soap or candles.) Still, it gets 5 stars just for being lemon.

My first time trying Lemon 5 fold and I have to say it is just outstanding. It captures the true depth and richness of the fruit with a concentration that is intoxicating but not at all overwhelming. The sweetness is uplifting and refreshing. I have used it in small proportions in some of my fragrances. Also a few drops in my dishwashing liquid gets everything clean naturally. Very nice essential oil.

I love citrus oils and want to wear them all the time. However, I found that the regular citrus oils irritate my skin. So I purchased the 5 Fold Lemon oil and mixed it with a grapeseed carrier oil and viola....no more skin irritation!!! Lemon 5 fold is so awesome, I love it mixed with orange bitter in a spray bottle for a room freshener! Also, you can make your own "theives" if you mix lemon 5 fold, clove bud, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus, and rosemary Spanish.
