Liquid Germall Plus is a highly efficacious, ready-to-use, broad-spectrum preservative system for personal care formulations. It is clear viscous liquid with a characteristic mild odor. Liquid Germall Plus is a patented combination of Germall II and IPBC pre-dissolved in Propylene Glycol for ease of use. This combination exhibits a synergistic preservative effect, which reduces the total active preservative level necessary; provides for complete, broad spectrum preservation against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and mold. It is composed of Diazolidinyl Urea, 3-Iodo-2-propylbutylcarbamate, and less than 1% Propylene Glycol.

INCI: Propylene Glycol (and) Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate.

Usage:
• Can be used in a wide variety of personal care formulation for reliable preservation.
• Soluble in cationic, anionic and nonionic water soluble formulations, as well as in the emulsified portion of oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions.
• Compatible with most cosmetic raw materials.
• Recommended use levels in a finished formulation is 0.1-0.5%.
• It is effective over a broad pH range from 3 – 8.
• Add at 50°C or below during the cool down stage of processing.

I seen the ratings for this and bought it due to some of my lotions would get mold growth on them, and I needed to eliminate that factor. So far its great with 0 growth. It also does not change the texture, or quality of your product. Wonderful Item for Natural soaps, and lotions.

I love the drip cap on this. I opened it up a little more with a toothpick to get it to flow but now I have drop by drop control. I have used liquid germall plus for years and it works so well! I always had to deal with a pour bottle before so it was difficult to get this kind of control. My creams never mold and my customers love it because it doesn't contain any parabens.

After researching on what preservative to buy.... I bought this one. I`m glad I did. My products are 99.5 to 99.9% natural. The reason it`s not 100% is due to the preservative (which is tiny in the grand scheme of things). I opted for this synthetic ingredient because of the complete anti-microbial protection. NDA customer service (Thank-you Tiffany) helped me (a Newbie at making creams). Thanks for helping me!

I loved the liquid germall plus! I had the hardest time stopping mold growth in my mixtures containing aloe vera and this instantly eliminated the issue I was having. The only problem I had was with the slow drip cap. It was very hard to get the product to come out. Other than that I loved it.
