Our Melt and Pour Olive Base is a glycerin soap base that is transparent with a slightly green hint of color. This base contains functional amounts of Olive Oil which provides rich lather with excellent moisturizing benefits.
Glycerin, a natural emollient, draws moisture out of the air to benefit skin health. It cleanses without stripping or upsetting the delicate natural pH balance necessary for soft, healthy skin. And, since we don't use animal oils, our soap rinses clean and leaves no soapy film behind. All our soap bases are produced from the highest quality double distilled and deodorized clear coconut oil, forming luxurious lather and sparkling clarity.

Usage: A two pound brick can make between 10 - 20 soaps, depending on the size of the soap you’re trying to make.

Caution: When making soaps it is good to remember that the Melt & Pour Bases contain water as part of the formula. So if they are left exposed to the atmosphere, the water will evaporate and the bar of soap will shrink. We would recommend fully wrapping the ENTIRE soap bar as soon as it is poured and cooled--this should minimize/eliminate any shrinkage.

The best!!! I got into aromatherapy when I gave up importing my soap from Europe... I have been trying to find the best alternative to make my own product as good if not better than anything I could find in a store. After many years of practice with products and mixes from every possible and imaginable alternative, I was able to find the perfect mix for my olive-lavender soap. I use this soap for many things, not "just bars". It is pure enough to use for babies as well as adults. It never fails to moisturize and it takes scents and additives so very well. I just love it. I make an amazing sugar scrub bar that feels smooth until it gets wet, then it has scrubbing power and lathers amazingly well too! Thank you ND for keeping this base in stock. :)
