Ingestion: Drink water and consult a physician if large amount ingested. Never give anything by mouth if victim is unconscious, is rapidly-losing consciousness, or is convulsing.

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash with soap and plenty of water.

Stable under ordinary conditions of use and storage. Hygroscopic. Avoid contact with incompatible agents (lithium and bromine trifluoride).

 Eye: May cause irritation, redness and pain. (For salt concentrations greater than the normal saline present in the eye.

Skin: May irritate cut/damaged skin. Absorption can occur with effects similar to those via ingestion.  Skin Rabbit LD50: >10 g/kg. investigated as mutagen and reproductive effecter.

Inhalation: May irritate the respiratory tract. Inhalation rat LC50: >42 g/m3/1 hour.

Ingestion: Very large doses can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and prostration. Dehydration can occur in most intestinal organs, hypertonic salt solutions can produce violent inflammatory reactions in the gastrointestinal tract. Oral LD50 is 3000 mg/kg
