Reactivity: Stable.
Decomposition: When heated to decomposition produces carbon dioxide and monoxide smoke.
7. Toxicological Properties/Information:
Contains approximately 14% of erucic acid with oral (rat) LD50 = 21.5mg/kg. Conjunctiva hyperemia observed in eyes of rabbits that cleared up within 24 hours. Jojoba oil is recommended for use in cosmetics in concentrations 0.1 to 25 %.
8. Preventive Data:
Spillage: Absorb spills, cover with an inert, non-combustible, inorganic absorbent material, and remove to an approved disposal container.
Fire: Recommended extinguishing media – water spray, CO2, foam and dry chemicals.
Environment: Keep away from drains, surface and ground water.
Storage: Store in cool, dark place in tightly closed container. Keep air contact to minimum.
9. First Aid Measures:
Eye contact: Flush with water for at least 15 minutes.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth.
Skin contact: Wash with soap and plenty of water.

Gloves, safety goggles and lab coat.
