INCI Name: Astrocaryum murumuru butter
Origin: Brazil
Description: Excellent emollient. Helps the skin retain water by creating a protective film. Aids in promoting hair shine, hydration and protection. Recommended for Afro-ethnic hair care products. The Vitamin A content is found to be 50,000iu per 100 grams of pulp, three times higher than that of a carrot.

I had done some reading about this butter and wanted to see if everything that was said was true. This butter is especially good for people of ethnic background African Canadian / America. I used this in a lotion and bathmelt and the results were amazing. it certainly hydrated the skin! Now I need to find a suitable receipe for hair care product! Thanks NDA

Just recieved this product in the mail and am thoroughly impressed. My ethnic hair loves this stuff!! Haven't tried it on my daughter yet, but I get the feeling this will be what we've been looking for.

I added this to the ND conditioner base. It adds extra emolliency and "weight" which is good for my natural curly hair. There is no odour in this butter.
