Musk Ketone Aroma Chemical

Chemical Formula: C14 H18 N2 O5
Description: Musk is used almost exclusively for fragrance in cosmetic and perfumery applications. Originally obtained from the musk glands of male deer during the mating season for sexual attraction or from certain animals such as otter or civet, musk is now synthetically created. It is reputed to be an excellent fixative with the property of not only being a penetrating fragrance, but of being a persistent scent.
Solubility:
Soluble in : Moderately soluble in Alcohol, 8.9g - 100g Methylcarbitol, 25.4g to 100g Benzyl Benzoate, 16.5g to 100g Diethylphthalate.

Insoluble in: Water, oil and DPG

I just recieved my musk ketone yesterday and i'm so impressd by the aroma that i smelled upon opening the jar! I immediatly took it home to add to a oil based fragrance that i needed the musk ketone for and it was heaven i absolutly love it! It made my oil based perfume smell so much richer. i did'nt know that this musk would make such a diffrence in my perfume but it did. I had ordered a small quanity just in case i did'nt like it. but i just placed an orde for a larger one! I hope that your company will ahve many more ketones to your arsenol list. especially more musk! I'm totaly sold. just love this stuff.

I have never worked with synthetics before but curiosity got me on this one. The price was right and I love soft musky scents so when I got this I inhaled and said "yes". This keytone is in powdered form, and very sweet, and heady. I infused it in jojoba oil for a roll-on perfume and tinctured it in alcohol for a cologne. Although I won't likely use it along with the naturals, I do appreciate having the single chemical available to me to experience, it is lovely.
