Neroli Essential Oil
|

Botanical Name: Citrus aurantium Plant Part: Blossom Extraction Method: Steam Origin: Italy Description: Neroli essential oil is derived from the blossoms of either the sweet orange tree or the bitter orange tree. Our variety comes from the Bitter Orange tree which is viewed within the aromatherapy world as being of higher therapeutic quality. Color: Dark greenish yellow Common Uses: Neroli essential oil increases circulation and stimulates new cell growth. It can prevent scarring and stretch marks, and has been found useful in treating skin conditions linked to emotional stress. Any type of skin can benefit from Neroli essential oil, although it is particularly good for dry, irritated or sensitive skin. It regulates oiliness and minimizes enlarged pores. Neroli oil helps to clear acne and blemished skin, especially if the skin lacks moisture. With regular treatment, it can reduce the appearance of fragile or broken capillaries and varicose veins. Antidepressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, carminative, cordial, deodorant, digestive, stimulant (nervous), tonic (cardiac, circulatory). Consistency: Medium Note: Middle Strength of Aroma: Strong Blends well with: Lavender (All), lemon, clary sage, myrrh, spice oils such as nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. Aromatic Scent: Neroli essential oil has a sweet, floral citrus aroma. Many aromatherapists refer to neroli as an exotic and exquisite essential oil. History: Though Bitter Orange essential oil has been around for centuries, Neroli essential oil wasn’t discovered until the seventeenth century. It was named after Anna Maria de la Tremoille, princess of Nerola. The oils properties were extremely valued by the people of Venice who used it against plague and fevers. Cautions: None Known.

Having never lived anywhere but cold, northern states, I have no point of reference. But if this truly smells like orange trees in bloom, I want to move! What a heavenly aroma!

Hmm, smells so good I could eat it, well I guess that is because I have neroli honey at home. Great for calming, and sleepy time.

I have tried many Essential oils and there are a couple that I really love. Ylang-lang is one however Neroli has topped it by far. I love it!! I use it in my body butter or in a mixture blend with other oils and I can say it's most erotic. I started out trying a small bottle and now I'm back for the Larger Bottle.

I agree with Connie from Lansdowne exactly!
This oil is sublime/heavenly/fantastic. It smells the same/just as delicious straight out of the bottle or in a massage oil blend. It's smells citrus-y, but not as light/sparkly as regular oranges or lemons, it's more rich and sultry...One of the best scents I've EVER come across!

This is pure heaven. I don't generally like florals, but the citrus quality of this makes it perfect.

If you are sitting there looking at the price and thinking - "is this really worth it? should I just get some other oils instead?" the answer is SPEND THE MONEY! YES it IS worth it! Right now I am thinking just how versatile this scent is in perfumes and other scented products not even to mention its healing qualities! WONDEROUS!

An amazing scent that does transport you to an orange tree in bloom. I didn't believe it at first but it is true! Very exotic scent that in my opinion is good for every occasion and also has many medicinal properities as well. It is really strong so be sure to dilute it or it is just too strong.

This oil is absolutely sublime! I love to use it in lotions and massage bars. Particularly for those with scars and stretchmarks. Just one drop is enough to make anyone fall under it's spell! A jewel in the crown of any blend!

Neroli is a MUST, MUST in aromatherapy, and just having a little bottle will ensure you a moment of true clear thoughts and happiness. when i smelled it transported me to my country Dominican Republic, where i have a orange tree and when it blossom i was going nuts smelling every single flower. it is a aphrodisiac, excellent toner and perfume. i can't believe that they have this expensive oil so affordable here, i wonder where they get it?. oh! mix 3 drops of neroli, 2 patchouli dark and 1 drop of cinnamon for a sensual mix.

This scent is purely exquisite. Watch out as I've found that it needs to be calmed down with something else in the mixture, such as a good base like sandalwood or lavender. I've smelt perfumes completely based on this scent. Great!

This is the pure scent of heaven, but in a bottle. I wear a drop (diluted!) on the shoulder strap of my bra when I'm feeling stressed or blue, so I can enjoy the exquisiteness all day. While I was waiting for an elevator once, a total stranger piped up to the waiting crowd, "Whoever smells like orange blossoms, it's delicious!"

Neroli is perfect for the skin. It makes the skin soft and gives a glow. It is also really nice in a hand cream.

The neroli oil is beautiful! It smells just like real orange blossoms. Some neroli oils may have more green notes to them, but this one is more floral, which I love!

Do not judge this oil in the bottle! The true splendor of Neroli is only released when diffused or highly diluted. A little goes a long way is an understatement with this oil, it is worth the expense because of its tenacity and long lasting fragrance. Try the Neroli floral water and add a few drops of essential oil to an ounce in a spray bottle, your whole house could smell like a spring orchard in a few moments. Thank you N-D for offering the 1/6 ounce size so everyone can afford this luxury oil!
