Orange / Annatto Natural Color

Uses: Oils, Creams, Soaps.
Water Soluble: Water Soluble
Form: Liquid
Description: Orange / Annatto is extracted from the seeds of the Annatto tree. It is an orange yellow to deep orange-red powder, intended for use in oils, creams and soaps. Natural Orange Annatto contains no Coal Tar Dyes or any extraneous coloring matter. It is recommended to store Orange Annatto color in a cool place with a temperature not exceeding 14 C. Natural dyes should be shaken well before use, and the cap replaced tightly after use.
As with all manufacturing processes, New Directions Aromatics Recommends that small, lab scale production be conducted prior to any commercial runs.

Fantastic color and quality! I wish it were a bit thinner. It is difficult to get out of the bottle – even in a hot water bath. However, it is well worth the effort! I would love to see more natural colors offered!

This is a wonderful natural color to use for CP. You may as well take out the dropper top because it is too thick to pour out of. And watch you don't get it on anything, it will stain and it is very hard to wash off.

This is a great natural colour. When adding to soaps I can control the colour of from a nice carmel to a much deeper tone.

I was unable to use this dye. Even after shaking, it was extremely difficult to get the dye to come out of the bottle.

New Directions Aromatics Response:

Our natural colors are fairly thick, but should become easy to use with some gentle heating. We recommend a hot water bath for a few minutes, at which point the product should thin.
