Description: Sweet Orange is derived from an evergreen tree. It is smaller than the bitter orange tree, and less hardy with fewer or no spines. The fruit itself has a sweet pulp with no bitter membrane.

Color: Yellowish orange to dark orange liquid.

Common Uses: Properties for Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil are as follows: antidepressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, carminative, cordial, deodorant, digestive, stimulant (nervous) and tonic (cardiac, circulatory). It has also been applied to combat colds, constipation, dull skin, flatulence, the flu, gums, slow digestion, and stress.

Consistency: Thin

Blends well with: Lavender, Bergamot, Lemon, Clary Sage, Myrrh, Sandalwood, Nutmeg, Cinnamon Bark and Clove Bud.

Aromatic Scent: Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil has a sweet, citrus smell much like the orange peels it is derived from, only more intense and concentrated.

History: There is some argument, but it is believed that sweet orange was brought to Europe by the Arabs in the First century along with the bitter orange.

Cautions: Some aromatherapists have reported that a small percentage of few people have experienced dermatitis from the limonene content of sweet orange. Orange Essential Oil is considered photo-toxic and exposure to sunlight should be avoided. Do not use if pregnant.

This has a light orange fragrance. It reminds me of that delightful smell as you peel an orange and it sprays that fine mist. Very happy with this EO and highly recommend it for any one looking for a light, non over powering, orange scent.

This is an AMAZING product! It smells as if you are about to eat the most fragrant and edible sweet orange of the season!!! It is great for room freshening as it creates a sense of calm in the room and it lingers. I use this in blends as well. I like the effects it has when doing deep tissue muscle work - really helps to relax the muscles for better penetration. I cannot say enough about NDA's oils - they are superior to all others, I have yet to find any that compare in quality!!!!! After years of searching, I now use NDA oils exclusively!!!!! The products speak for themselves, both short and long-term.

I used this to make home made sugar scrubs and it was wonderful! I made a batch of oragne scented scrub, and a batch of "creamsicle", where I mixed the orange oil with vanilla. Very delisious smelling, and not irritating on the skin at all.

While the price of the oils are good, I was led to belive that the oils are undiluted 100% pure therapeutic grade oils. Yet the packaging of the bottles of oils DO NOT say they are therapeutic grade, and there is a disclaimer on the bottles that the oil is for external use only! If these oils are truly therapeutic grade and pure why is the company not proudly displaying the fact on the bottle and why is there a disclaimer for external use only, especially on oils such as peppermint and basil. The oils also seem to have a more watery consistency when compared to the same oils of the Young Living brand. While the oils may have a use in diffusion I would be afraid of neat application of them.

We stand by our statement that our Essential Oils are pure, undiluted and of therapeutic grade.

We wholesale our product using non-retail packaging. The labels are limited in space, business professional, and contain nothing that is marketing related. This is standard for the wholesale industry.

Our disclaimer stating that Essential Oils are for external usage only conforms with the stance taken by the International Federation of Aromatherapists. They do not recommend the ingestion of Essential Oils unless under the direct supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical aromatherapy. Most cases of poisoning are the result of self-dosing of undiluted essential oils.

Lastly, the viscosity of essential oils will vary from oil to oil. In the case of Sweet Orange Essential Oil, the viscosity is thin and water like. The specifications of this particular oil conforms not only with our internal standards, but those recognized by the scientific community.
