Ginger is grown as a spice in tropical regions throughout the world and is one of the most popular ingredients used in cooking, by many international cultures today.
It has traditionally been used to help alleviate nausea and help stimulate poor peripheral circulation. At very low doses, it has been known to alleviate nausea associated with pregnancy.
Its action as a general metabolic stimulant is useful in helping relieve flatulence and indigestion associated with gastrointestinal insufficiency. As a circulatory stimulant, it has been used to alleviate chilblains and cold hands and feet.
Topically it has been known to help alleviate muscle sprains and inflammatory conditions.

Common Uses:
Ginger can be used in ointments, creams, compresses, poultices and liniments.
