Recipes:
Now that you have all of these ingredients, you may be wondering just how much to use for the different applications. Essential oils are wonderful additives that have been used for centuries, but care should be taken to ensure you get an appropriate mixture. Remember not all essential oils are the same. For example, Lavender can be used undiluted directly on the skin, but Peppermint should only be used in a diluted form to avoid any chance of a skin reaction.
We strongly recommend that you read the Home Spa book before starting out of course, but here are some general guidelines based on whats in your kit.
Facial Scrub Recipe:
Add three to four drops of essential oil to two tablespoons of the scrub, mix well and gently massage.
Foot Bath Recipe:
Use up to 5 drops Peppermint essential oil and just enough warm water to cover the feet up to your ankles.
Full Bath Recipe:
If you are using the Dead Sea Salts and / or the Bath Fizzies, no essential oils need to be added since they have already been blended in. If you want to have a bath with just essential oils, use 10 15 drops of oil for a normal sized bath tub. Again, your nose will tell you when enough has been added.
Caution:
If you are pregnant or suspect you may be, consult a qualified aromatherapist or doctor before using any essential oil including the bath salt blend and massage oil.
