Pineapple Powder Concentrate

Botanical Name: Ananus communis
Description: Pineapples contain the fruit enzyme 'bromelain' which is effective in exfoliating dead cells on the surface of the skin. It also hydrolyzes proteins. In cosmetics it can act as a skin conditioning and lytic agent. Pineapple fruit extract is also a wonderful source of natural color and adds a sharp, crisp citrus like scent that adds to its cleansing and invigorating properties.

The recommended usage rate should not exceed 0.5% of the weight of the final product.

This product is the perfect addition to my moisturizing facewash! It contributes to exfoliation without the need for solid particles (beads, etc), all of which were gumming up the tube of my preferred face wash pump. This is great stuff!! And it doesn't hurt that pineapple is one of my favourite foods ;-) Yum!

These fruit extracts are FANTASTIC! I lvoe the scent- and it is almost the only way you can have products that smell like fruit using true botanicals instead of fragrance oils!

Ooh, this powdered pineapple smells delicious! I've made a facial mask using this, your powdered papaya and kaolin clay, and an exfoliating powder (cleansing grains) using these powders again with clay and some powdered oatmeal and almond meal. Wonderful to gently remove dirt and dead skin. I can't wait to try this in my all-natural soap. I would highly recommend this product!
