My blonde hair that is rapidly turning silver (so much nicer thought then grey!) was getting quite dingy. This shampoo/conditioner combo has brightened it up to a lovely color and keeps the hair bouncy without any additional hair care products. I'm surprised at how well it's perked up my hair.

Beautiful product!!! Thank you New Directions for a wonderful shampoo, I have very long hair and this products smells wonderful, leaves my hair bouncy and I feel good their are no harsh chemicals in my shampoo. Will be buying more of your shampoo and conditioners!! Good work guys!!

I wanted to alter my review but there wasn't the option to do so. After drying my hair I noticed that my hair was extremely brittle and "wirey" and I thought maybe the shampoo just got my hair really, really clean and that my flat iron would smooth down the cuticle and produce the soft sleek hair I was used to. I was wrong. For the first time in my life my hair not only broke off as I styled it but my hair is still VERY textured and dry. I normally don't like writing bad reviews and I wanted to make sure that it wasn't just a fluke so I washed my hair with this a couple more times to see if it would indeed moisturize like it claimed. I kept thinking maybe I have tons of bad buildup from using my Ojon shampoo and conditioner, that this organic shampoo was doing its job to really make my hair super clean but all it left me was with thick, frizzy hair that feel like straw that even my flatiron can't tame. I used to get compliments on how soft my hair was but it is noticeably different now. I'm beyond upset and will need a serious deep moisturizing hair mask to return all the natural oils that was stripped from my hair. Even my neighbor who used to be jealous of my hair commented on how it looks "dry" and "textured" and if I just blew my hair straight and didn't use a flatiron. When I told her I used a flatiron and my hair is still a wreck and told me to throw out this product pronto because she's never seen my hair this dry before. This is from someone that buys whatever I buy for my hair because she loved my hair so much, not now though. I thought there is no way an organic product could damage my hair to this point but I was severly wrong and I'm deeply embarrassed at the condition that it left my hair. This product is more like a clarifying shampoo that you use once a week to strip off old layered product that weighs down hair except it's more drying than the clarifying shampoos I've used. So I've relegated this shampoo (so not to waste money) as a great makeup brush cleaner and this is the only hair I will use it on. For anyone with naturally curly hair, this product strips the natural oils from your hair. x The one good thing that came out of this is that I am now going to be more vigilant to try to create my own shampoo and conditioner since I do love the quality of NDA's essential oils, muds, etc. This POYA brand completely missed the mark and messed up my once soft and manageable hair. :{

I was first introduced to the Poya hair care line when I attended the health and wellness presentations at New Directions. I am of mixed race with Irish, East Indian and West Indian ancestry and I spend a lot of time and money caring for my long naturally curly hair. I also use a lot of heat products on my hair such as the blow dryer and flat iron which tends to dry out my hair and cause breakage. I have always been interested in natural products in an effort to rid my hair of the synthetics and chemicals found in department store shampoos and conditioners, but many natural products tend to be very costly; that was until I tried the Poya Rosemary mint shampoo and conditioner. In my opinion these products were made with brilliant ingenuity. I loved the naturally fresh scents and the shampoo left my hair soft and manageable while the conditioner turned my hair from brittle into silk. I love the products so much I mentioned them on twitter to all my followers and I took photos of my hair so my friends and family could see the difference. Everyone was in awe over how healthy and shiny my hair looked and felt. Days after using the products my hair remained soft and silky so needless to say I will be a return customer from now on.
