Rose (Bulgaria) 3%

Average Product Rating: 4.6 / 5 (Based on 10 Customer Reviews)

Botanical Name: Rosa damascene

Plant Part: Flowers

Extraction Method: Solvent Extraction

Description: The rose is one of the worlds best known flowers - stunning and exotic in both visual appearance and aroma.

Color: Golden to amber resin to solid.

Common Uses: Rose Bulgarian Absolute is a very common oil in the perfume and aromatic industry. Aromatherapists also credit it with being an exotic aphrodisiac, an emollient in skin care products, and a balancer of the spirit.

Consistency: Viscous

Note: Middle

Strength of Aroma: Strong

Blends well with: Rose generally blends well with all oils, though it works particularly well with Bergamot, Chamomile German, Chamomile Roman, Clary Sage, Geranium, Melissa, Rosewood, Sandalwood, and Ylang-ylang.

Aromatic Scent: Rose Bulgarian Absolute has a very complex, sweet floral scent. Its reputation of being a must ingredient in perfumes is well deserved.

History: Bulgaria has over a 300 year tradition in essential rose oil distillation. Approximately 4000 kilograms of petals are required to produce 1 kilogram of pure rose oil. Its exotic nature and value were appreciated in ancient times by the Greeks, Chinese, Indians, Persians and Romans. All documentation indicates that their medical applications of the essential oil were identical to those that exist today.

Cautions: It is important to note that all absolutes are extremely concentrated by nature. They should not be evaluated in this state unless you are accustomed to the undiluted fragrance. For those trying Absolutes for the first time, we strongly recommend they be evaluated in dilution. Otherwise, the complexity of the fragrance - particularly the rare and exotic notes - becomes lost.

I love this oil. It still has a really nice scent even though it is only 3%. My skin has been much softer since i added this to my toners. I loved how well it hydrated so much that i use it in many of my deep conditioners as well as the leave in. This has become a go-to for me.

it has a very lovely smell but no matter how much i put in my body butter it will not become fragrant..it is overpowered by the scent of shea and cocoa butter. it is probably better for sprays or soap

A perfect way to enjoy the smell of Bulgarian Rose oil without killing your pocketbook. I mix a bit of the 3%, geranium and chamomile and it is like I'm walking through an English garden. For the strength of the oil, the price is an absolute dream. Thank you ND so much!

A wonderful true rose scent, but with more of an exotic aroma, without that grandma smell to it. Spicy rather than dusty. Even as a distillation the scent is strong enough to blend into a perfume without using very much of it, and works wonders with a little sandalwood and ylang.

Nice light rose scent. Looking forward to trying the other rose scents as well. The jojoba oil with it makes this rose a great perfume to perk you up in the middle of the day!

I am amazed at the strength of the scent you get with a 3% dilution! What can I say? I love roses, and the misconception that this old-fashioned rose will be like an old lady's perfume (no offense), is completely out the window! Instead it is a wonderful and complex blend of sweet florals, with a slightly spicy and waxy undertone. I only wish the roses in my garden would smell as lovely as this!

I can't believe I spend so little & get such great product! Even it is 3%, but the smell still there. I add 2 drops Rose Bulgarian in pink clay mask, so luxurious.
