Bulgarian Rose Absolute
|

Botanical Name: Rosa damascena Plant Part: Flower Extraction Method: Food Grade Solvent Origin: Bulgaria Description: The rose is one of the worlds best known flowers - stunning and exotic in both visual appearance and aroma. Color: Deep Reddish Orange Common Uses: Rose is a very common oil in the perfume and aromatic industry. Aromatherapists also credit it with being an exotic aphrodisiac, as an emollient in skin care products, and as a balancer of the spirit. Consistency: Viscous Note: Middle to Top Strength of Aroma: Strong - Penetrating and Long Lasting Blends well with: Rose Bulgarian generally blends well with all oils, though it works particularly well with bergamot, German and Roman chamomile, clarysage, geranium, melissa, rosewood, sandalwood, and Ylang Ylang. Aromatic Description: Rose Bulgarian is a very complex, sweet floral scent. Its reputation of being a must ingredient in perfumes is well deserved. ** It is important to note that all absolutes are extremely concentrated by nature. They should not be evaluated in this state unless you are accustomed to the undiluted fragrance. For those trying Absolutes for the first time, we strongly recommend they be evaluated in dilution. Otherwise, the complexity of the fragrance - particularly the rare and exotic notes - become lost. History: Bulgaria has over a 300 year tradition in essential rose oil distillation. Approximately 4000 kilograms of petals are required to produce 1 kilogram of pure rose oil. It's exotic nature and value were appreciated in ancient times by the Greeks, Chinese, Indians, Persians and Romans. All documentation indicates that their medical applications of the essential oil were identical to those that exist today. Cautions: Non-sensitizing, Non-toxic, and Non-irritating.

The BEST splurge! The hardest decision was which type of rose absolute to order, and I'm glad I ordered the Bulgarian. Like sticking your nose in a fresh picked bouquet, and the deep red color adds a richness to everything I use it in.

My best friend told me that she doesn't like rose scented perfumes. After adding this Rose Absolute to my formula I let her test it out. She described my premature concoction (less than two days old) as fruity, spicy, sweet and pretty. That's what this Rose Bulgarian Absolute will do for your formula, it'll add a little pretty to the mix.
By as much as you can afford, add some Ylang Ylang to the recipe as well as some bergamot, then smile.

A wonderful absolute--a luscious and true rose scent with a gorgeous color--not cloying or overly sweet! Such a treat to finally be able to afford a quality rose absolute--thank you New Directions!

i love the smell of rose! and this eo captures that smell perfectly! it is an absolute so it is super super concentrated. a little bottle will last a long way. i am waiting to receive the scentball diffusers so i could try it in that. so far i've diluted it in almond sweet and been using it as a massage oil. the scent is lovely!

Smells like a dew-covered bloom in the morning sun! My favorite of ND's Rose absolutes, the Rose Bulgarian is both fresh & sweet, with inherent citrusy notes -- a bright, happy, joyful rose scent! Superb quality for the price. Also, please note that the absolute has a deep orangey-red color, which lends a warm tone to your products. If you're seeking a "musky" rose scent, try the Iranian version instead (but personally, I much prefer the Bulgarian!)

Gorgeous, rich, deep, floral scent. An instant relaxer and anti-depressant for me, I LOVE this scent. And the price is great--I can actually afford to get undiluted rose oil!

Not only does it have intensely uplifting scent, it's visually stunning. As someone who does not add artificial color to my products, I deeply appreciate this oils warm red color and archetype rose scent...and considering the average price of rose oils, this particular variety is very reasonable.

I am a fan. I was skeptical that this would be a good quality EO because the price relative to other EOs is so much less. I thought for sure it would be poor quality. I have used Young Living for years and have become sold that they were the "best on the market"... well, I can now say I was wrong. I am turning everyone I know onto this website and these oils because the price is amazing for the quality. I use this oil almost daily, a drop in my diffuser, in my bath with salts. Of course, use very sparingly as it is an absolute, but truly one you will fall in love with.

Very nice! The 1/6 ounce size is perfect for trying and you won't break the bank! What a great way to experience all the different roses, as all of them are different and complex, seductivley unique. I love this one because it is fresher smelling than some of the sweeter, more honeyed varieties. Very nice quality.

Beautiful rose! Worth every penny and very fairly priced as the market is saturated with phoney diluted rose oils. Be aware of where you buy your essential oils from. Notice what part of the flower, stem, leaf, etc. is being used and where they are grown / distilled from. New Directions is very fair and reputable, I would trust any oil they offer.
