Rosemary Essential Oil (Spanish)

Average Product Rating: 4.9 / 5 (Based on 33 Customer Reviews)

Botanical Name: Rosmarinus Officinalis

Plant Part: Herb

Extraction Method: Steam Distilled

Origin: Spain

Description: An aromatic shrub, Rosmarinus officinalis has scaly bark and dense, leathery needlelike leaves. Tiny pale blue blossoms abound from December through spring. Rosemary can grow to heights of five to six feet (close to 2 meters) in height.

Color: Colorless to pale yellow liquid.

Common Uses: Rosemary Spanish Essential Oil stimulates cell renewal and improves dry or mature skin, easing lines and wrinkles. It can also clear acne, blemishes or dull dry skin by fighting bacteria and regulating oil secretions. It improves circulation and can reduce the appearance of broken capillaries and varicose veins. Rosemary Essential Oil helps to overcome mental fatigue and sluggishness by stimulating and strengthening the entire nervous system. It enhances mental clarity while aiding alertness and concentration. Rosemary Oil can help you cope with stressful conditions and see things from a clearer perspective.

Consistency: Thin

Note: Top

Strength of Aroma: Strong

Blends well with: Basil, Bergamot, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Ginger, Lemon, Orange and Peppermint.

Aromatic Scent: Rosemary Spanish Essential Oil has a strong, clear, penetrating, camphoraceous and herbaceous aroma.

History: Rosemary Spanish was used in Roman burial rites, and that practice continued well into the middle ages when it was customary to lay branches of rosemary on the coffin at funerals. Because it grows in proximity to the sea, its name means Dew of the Sea. Its leaves were traditionally burned in hospitals to purify the air.

Cautions: Rosemary Spanish Essential Oil is generally non-toxic and non-sensitizing. It is not suitable for people with epilepsy or high blood pressure. Avoid in pregnancy since it is an emmenagogue.

Not everyone loves the scent of Rosemary... To some, it smells very medicinal. But it kind of is. It's very therapeutic. Great for hair and skin. And great in soap when blended with other more pleasant smelling oils.

The spanish rosemary is a fantastic scent! I had tried rosemary cp soap before and really liked it. I use this eo in a diffuser and it has a gentle scent that blankets the entire room. It has also been helpful when I have been congested since it seems to clear me almost immediately.

This oil has an earthy/citrus quality to it that mixes well with lavender oil. I put drops of it in laundry detergents and shampoos. It is not overwhelming at all and will absolutely purchase it again.

Very nice rosemary. It is not as sweet or green as other rosemaries that I've smelled. Instead it has more of a menthol/medicinal smell. This is not a bad thing, it just makes this EO more akin to the peppermint class of EOs rather than the green herby EOs. Also, as always exceptional price.

I accidentally spilled my Rosemary EO, I discovered cant live with out it! It has become a staple in my medicine chest. Great for mental stimulation, my mom is bedridden, I burn it in her room, she is more balanced and alert. I make a blend for my dad with this as the mainstay for circulation in his legs, really effective!!

This rosemary adds a wonderful herbal note to any blend. Be warned! It is not very viscous and pours very quickly! Fortunately, it smells wonderful! Blends very well with bergamot and lavender.

I have searched all over for a rosemary EO that smells like the rosemary in my garden, and I've finally found it! Many of the other rosemary EOs I've tried were too camphorous, too acrid, too piney. But this one is warm and PERFECT. I love it!

I was truly amazed with this rosemary. It is very clean, uplifting in a diffuser. It seems to open my respiratory system in a very clear but nonmedicinal way. It is not like any other rosemary . I really love this oil. And such a reasonable price.

Today, i received all the essential oils, extract, preservative and lotion bases and i was extremely impressed how the company so carefully and so professionally packed everything. I'm 100% satisfy about how the company packaged and delivered my order. This is my first time ever making my own bodycare formula. I followed company online minimum % mixtures of any essential/fragrance oils. I finished my product like 2 hours ago, and i tried on myself I am more than please !!!! I made my first Fat Burning Lotion & Cellulite Reducer. I order many products from many companies and NewDirectionsAromatics packaging & professionalism for me is the #1 company !!!!!

I can't attest to Rosemary's effect on mature skin or varicos veins, but everything else mentioned in the NDA description of this oil is true. Potential buyers should also know that this is a fantastic expectorant, and does seem to have a variety of of anti-viral/anti-microbial benefits. It's an excellent oil to "cleanse the air" in a room, especially during flu season. A bit of rosemary, tea tree, eucalyptus, cedarwood or other anti-virals used in a humidifier will help keep the chest clear of infections and clear stuffy noses. Cosmetically, several drops of rosemary oil added to any hair treatment will help cleanse the hair and stimulate the scalp, giving hair more shine and "bounce". NOTE: This oil also seems to have some value as an anti-parasitic.
