Lovely, rich, lasting scent. I love sandalwood, but the pure oil is so expensive now. It's great to get the scent of sandalwood in an affordable water. I love it for skin care and just plain smelling good.

Thank you for the addition to my review. I later found out evidently there are people who can not smell sandalwood. I happen to be one of them. I bought sandalwood oil and made a CP soap. I can not smell that either. But other people do its a great seller for me

Maybe I got a bad batch but mine had no scent, the rose and lavender were perfect.

New Directions Aromatics Response:

Sandalwood is a base note oil, meaning that it does not have the top notes that jump out and are identified readily by the nose. Sandalwood is exotic, subtle, and lingering. Customers should expect a slower, more sophisticated product in terms of scent.

This is a nice smelling sandlewood floral hydrosol; it smells just like the essential oil, except in water form. It could probably be added to a thick lotion base since I found it so moisturizing, too.

I hesitated ordering this one because it is priced higher than the others due to the endangered status of Sandalwood. However, I formulate products with sandalwood notes that I was hoping the hydrosol could be substituted for a few drops of essential oil. I was not disapointed. It is strong smelling and a little goes a very long way, and I have to remind myself that tons more water is produced with every drop of eso produced, so if you can use fragrant water instead, it is the way to go. It will provide a luxurious base for many applications.

Good price for such an excellent quality floral water. I love sandalwood, especially east indian type, there is no comparison. This one is truly beautiful in a linen spray especially mixed with neroli.....mmmmmmmm, fantastic!
