This exotic powder comes from the Sandal Tree which is an evergreen tree that grows in Australia. The heartwood or the center of the trunk is harvested and grounded into powder.

Common Uses: The Sandalwood Powder has fine particles which provides a gentle exfoliating action, and helps unblock pores and remove dirt and flaking skin. It is said to have mild antibacterial properties and can act as a light cleanser. Sandalwood Powder has a light, delicate woody scent and is considered a natural choice as an exfoliant in skin care products such as facial cleansers (1- 3%), creams soaps and soaps (2 – 5%).

Shelf Life: This product should be stored in a cool dark place away from moisture.

I added this and grounded rice to a yogurt cleanser and it made my skin really soft. I don't really like the scent but i don't really like sandalwood eo either and they smell exactly the same. So if you like the smell of sandalwood, then you will love this. Overall, did what i needed it to do.

I love it. A teeny amount goes a long way. I just tried it by just adding enough water to form a "paste". Not harsh. Perfect. Just enough exfoliating power. Shortly afterwards I noticed some flushing which looked like microcirculation (which is a good thing). The slight flushing surprised me because it was not harsh by any means... Which is why I call it microcirculation versus irritation. I wish it had a more pronounced Sandalwood scent, though. Wonderful experience. 4 star rating only because it is a very light scent. So be forewarned if you are seeking more of an aroma.

I love this stuff. I love it so much that I obsess over it, thinking "I have to buy more." It has given me the clearest skin I have seen since my youth. I'm keeping this one a secret though. It's an excellent addition to your own homemade soaps and even just on it's own. I mix it with rosewater or orange blossom water and make a lovely face scrub. I don't know what I was thinking, paying in some cases 80.00 for something that was full of chemicals and stuff my skin didn't really like, when all the time there was powdered sandalwood. If I win the gift certificate I am spending it ALL on this product!

Wonderful, strong sandalwood scent. Added it to CP soap hoping the scent would stand on it's own but there's no trace in the finished product. Turned the soap a great shade of dark brown though! Think it's more suited for scrubs, bath soaks etc.

This Sandalwood powder is terrific. I add it to my CP soap to curb the amount of sandalwood EO I use and it smells divine. Not only does it smell great, but it serves as a gentle exfoliant for my bars. Kudos to you NDA!!!

Great product at a great price. I used this product to make Sandalwood Rose CP soap. Product added a nice medium textured exfoliant quality to soap. Everyone who smelled the soap said it smelled divine and that the sandalwood was the scent that stuck out the most. Plus I didn't even add any sandalwood EO to enhance the smell. Good product for those on a budget who want to limit the amount of sandalwood EO that goes into a recipe or for those who want to add a medium non-abrasive exfolianting quality to their products.
